Custo Barcelona ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 30 September 2008 12 Comments

Custo Barcelona fragrance

Custo Barcelona, the Spanish brand known for their psychedelic street-wear inspired by the California lifestyle, has launched their debut fragrance, called simply Custo Barcelona. The "fresh and dynamic" scent is meant for the woman with a strong personality and creative spirit.

The juice, developed by perfumer Alberto Morillas, features notes of bitter orange, lemon, pink grapefruit, bergamot, wild strawberries, black currant, peony, orange blossom, lemon tree wood, amber, musk and patchouli.

Custo Barcelona is available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette and in matching body products. (quote via fashionfromspain, additional information via cosmoty.de)

Now that sounds like a fragrance from which I should be able to get my daily allowance of Vitamin C ;-)

Absolutely. They are calling it a fruity floral chypre, but that base will need to be very dark & dry to counteract all that fruit!

I can't really even comment on the juice because that bottle is distracting me. It reminds me of something I can't put my finger on…my sister would love it though and I have to say, despite its flashiness, it's kind of appealing in a “I'm feeling flamboyant today” sort of way.

I don't love the bottle, but then, I don't love the fashions either — or I should say, I admire the fashions because they're fun, but would never wear them.

This bottle looks like an old-fashion pull!!!
Maybe I'll try to test the scent if chance.^^

I think the bottle is funky and cool. A pink bottle that doesn't look so girly is a nice change of pace.

But it's all about the juice… and it sounds like it'll be mighty sweet.

Maybe the lemon tree wood will cut through all that…

    What's an old-fashioned pull?

I am so-so on the bottle, probably not interested in the juice. But whatever — I'm sure it will find an audience.

My, it doesn't sound like a scent for a creative spirit. It sounds like everything else that comes in a pink bottle. =P

I'm starting to think fresh is overrated when it comes to perfume.

the bottle design is typical Custo style & I only like certain pieces by Custo but the ones I like…I LOVE! I don’t love the bottle design but I have smelled the perfume & it is perfect for me! I really love it! I like Yves St Laurent Baby Doll, Chanel Mademoiselle, and Jo Malone Lime & Basil, so this scent suits me quite well!
