New travel sprays from Diptyque

Posted by Robin on 11 September 2008 7 Comments

Diptyque travel perfume sprayComing this month from Diptyque, a new travel spray system in the fragrances Tam Dao, Philosykos and L'Ombre dans L'Eau:

Your favorite eau de toilette goes everywhere in its simple, oval-shaped, black Bakelite spray. The top of the clever magnetized cap is subtly engraved with the Diptyque Paris signature.

Sheathed in its understated, sleek black case, it easily finds its place among the essentials called necessaires de voyages that accompany elegant travelers all over the world.

Like a most tempting invitation to travel, it contains the generous bouquet of classic roses and dark fruit of L’Ombre dans l’Eau, or the warm notes of precious woods growing in an Asian jungle with Tam Dao, or the sun-kissed fig tree scents of Greek summers with Philosykos.

The spray is 12 ml, and comes in a boxed set with two additional 12 ml spray refills for €90; you can also buy a set of three refills for €55. At Senteurs d'Ailleurs in Brussels (where you can also see the new Diptyque body range in those same 3 fragrances).

I'm going to have to resist (it does look tempting though!), but the refills, like the Frederic Malle refills, will be a great way to split with other people and just buy a small amount.

Does Malle make refills like that too? I was just thinking it looked like a great way to split — like the little TDC 48 heures bottles. I don't care about the holders/cases, I just care about getting my hands on one of the 12ml bottles. Perfect size. Wish they were sold individually.

Yes, sold in little trios. They sell some sort of “cover” thing too but don't even know what it looks like.

I LOVE THIS IDEA! Dyptique, Thank you so much! Finally someone realised: not everyone is looking to buy a 100ml giant, some people love smaller flacons. I am so buying it!

OMG this is still 30 euro for the tiny bottle even when the package is shared! I love this idea but I find it far too expensive.

If you share the refill 3-pack it comes out to less than 19 euros each.
