Parfum d'Empire Aziyade & Yuzu Fou ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 1 August 2008 20 Comments

Parfum d'Empire Aziyade & Yuzu Fou perfumes

Parfum d'Empire has launched two more fragrances, Aziyadé and Yuzu Fou:

Erotic and fruity nectar, AZIYADÉ offers a blend of pomegranate before delivering the rich and lush note of crystallized dates, almonds, oranges, and prunes. Aphrodisiac spices, omnipresent, (cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, cumin) draw us into the heart of oriental nights where anything is possible. An extravagant creation, AZIYADÉ exudes sensuality with patchouli, vanilla, carob, and frankincense. Finally, musk and absolute of cistus bring to perfection the animalistic imprint of the fragrance. Spicy and fruity oriental, AZIYADÉ, anniversary fragrance, is a concentration of erotic pleasures and of excesses of great civilizations.

It all begins with concentrated citrus extracts (kumquat, orange, bigarade) containing precious yuzu. The sparkling perfume of this Japanese fruit blends its fruity notes with the icy accent of mint. Absolute of verbena and notes of green bamboo reinforce the scintillating freshness. Blond cedar spreads its fragrance, while the clear trail is accompanied by the sensuality of neroli and of white musk. Sprightly green fragrance, YUZU FOU speaks of 21st century Japan, where nature becomes urban…

Parfum d'Empire Aziyadé and Yuzu Fou are available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum, and can be found now at Beautyhabit.

These sound great. Hope the Aziyade is as rich as it sounds.

Am I the only one feeling happy about the reduced size? To me 50ml is much better than 100ml LOL.

I always look forward to any new Parfum D'Empires. Even if they don't turn out to be wearable for me, I always enjoy experiencing them. And their small size is VERY appealing.

Has P d'E abandoned their matching of historical events to fragrances? These don't sound historically-based to me.

WOW — not awake yet and didn't even notice the change — that is wonderful. More wonderful if it was 30 ml, but hey, you can't have everything.

I was wondering about the empire link too…but we'll have to wait & see what they post on the PdE website, I guess. Perhaps these have empire links that aren't obvious to me.

Wow, I like that size, too. But I agree with you, R: 30 ml would be more wonderful. :):)

    Hugs!

Well, Aziyadé sounds as if I will like it.

Hope they are available in Germany.

    The bottle is quite simple.

You can find them at first-in-fragrance.com, although I don't think they have these 2 yet.

I agree the 50ml size is nice, but the price is ridiculous – $99 for 50ml and $125 for 100ml? Yikes that's a huge increase per ml.

It is true, but everything is going up, up, up, isn't it? Some of it I know is increased costs for raw materials, and some of it must be the horrible exchange rate.

As we know, everything should come in 30 ml. Hugs to you too!

there is nothing quite like the smell of yuzu.

in korea we candy it into a “tea” (kind of like diluting yuzu marmalade in hot water, we also do this with ginger, green plums, raspberries etc.) and it's great for the winters when you need something cheery to perk you up!

as a lover of all things citrus, the yuzu fou sounds like something i want to try…

the aziyade scares the bejeesus out of me! the notes sound great in theory but will probably end up choking me halfway through and will require a great scrub!

Oh, that tea sounds lovely, I'd love to try it! Do you like 06130 Yuzu Rouge? I don't know if it smells like “true” Yuzu but I love it.

One of the samples from my recent order at luckyscents was 06130 Yuzu Rouge. Reading this thread inspired me to try it today. Lovely! It doesn't really smell like the Yuzu absolute oil I have, but Yuzu Rouge has a hint of yuzu which works very well with the other notes.

Yuzu Fou is definitely going on my next sample order. So many wonderful perfumes to sample!

The yuzu note is making a bit more of an appearance in the drydown of 06130 Yuzu Rouge. MMmmm…
