Tommy Hilfiger will launch the summer limited edition versions of Tommy and Tommy Girl for 2008 this month (you can see the 2007 versions here). Both fragrances are "decorated" in a beach stripe design.
Tommy Summer (shown) for men is a "bright, simple scent that incorporates the freshness of the sea air". The notes include orange blossom, coconut, sea-air, bergamot, grapefruit, peppermint, violet, lavender, jasmine, coconut milk and driftwood.
Tommy Girl Summer for women features "shimmering, sun-warmed notes, offset by a sparkling twist of Nantucket cranberry"; additional notes include pineapple, lemon, lime, orange blossom, coconut milk, magnolia, and warm sand accord.
Tommy Hilfiger Tommy Summer & Tommy Girl Summer will be available in 100 ml Eau de Toilette. (quotes via moodiereport, additional information via bellemania.de)

I wish the Tommy Girl Summer didn't have pineapple.
They're usually not terribly sweet though, although don't think I managed to smell last summer's.
I wore the original Tommy for a couple years in the late 90s and loved it. But gosh there have been SO many flankers since then — not a single one of which I've tried. Now I understand why it seems so overwhelming if they launch a summer flanker every year. Too much… but I do want to revisit the original.
I had Tommy Girl in the '90s and thought it was a very nice sporty scent. A good fragrance should A) not have flankers and B) never be reformulated.
Another one on my 'to skip-list' 🙂
J, I don't know how much the TH LEs change every year…not paying enough attention. It is overwhelming!
