Luckyscent Untitled #5 ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 9 November 2007 9 Comments

Luckyscent Untitled #5 perfumeLuckyscent has released Untitled #5, a new fragrance created by AromaM's Maria McElroy:

Maria was inspired by the seasonal treats of Japan, where sweet roasted chestnuts mean it’s fall, and this is definitely autumnal and delicious. But for something based on chestnuts and spiced brandy, it has a surprisingly delicate and classic feel. You could wear this to the opera. Two words we never thought we see together in a description: nutty and sophisticated.

The fragrance notes include brazil nut, chestnut, cassis, honey, clove, honeysuckle, orange blossom, brandy, patchouli, tobacco and vetiver.

Luckyscent Untitled #5 is $75 for 8 ml Perfume Oil.

Put this on my list of samples to buy – it sounds so comforting to me.

*I saw in their email that the Comme des Garcons sweet series is being discontinued. Think I have any chance of finding some Nomad tea at a discount anywhere?

At a discount: no idea, but doubt it. Would think it would be the opposite: the price will go up now on ebay.

But if you need some, try Barneys in NY or the CdG store in Chelsea.

Oh — and thanks for the reminder — I was going to post about that and forgot entirely!

Glad you said that, I might have waited until it was too late on a sale. Ah, well on to plan B then. It's just too sweet to wear on it's own, but I like it layered with a few things. And just too expensive to buy a full price bottle. Think I'll just get a 5ml spray decant and keep it around to layer.

Hey, maybe you'll get lucky and see a sale! Just wouldn't count on it.

Have you tried any of the other scents in the Untitled line, Robin? I love #3, the Sarah Horowitz one, but I've never seen it reviewed or even mentioned anywhere in blog world.
The others are too pricy for me to bother tempting myself with samples!

I tried the Yosh one, which was nice & spicy but sweeter than I like. This one sounds like it might be a variation on Aroma M's latest, Geisha Marron. Could be nice w/ the brandy & vetiver.

Sign me up now. LOVE chestnuts. This sounds fabulous.

If it is not too sweet, I'll love it!
