Posted by Robin on 27 October 2007 9 Comments

Annayake Tomo fragrance

Annayake has launched Tomo, a new woody oriental fragrance for men. Tomo is meant for evening wear — "exciting evenings and long nights".

The notes include rosemary, lavender, citrus fruits, clary sage, coriander, tonka bean, benzoin, palisander and teak woods, tobacco, cistus and musk.

Annayake Tomo is available in 100 ml Eau de Toilette for around 65€. (quote via douglas.de, additional information via abc-luxe, aufeminin, beaute-addict)

Jessica McClintock Always & Forever perfumeJessica McClintock has launched Always & Forever, a new fragrance for women:

Always & Forever is a floral scent that combines notes of lily of the valley, freesia and gardenia with fresh oceanic notes and water flowers. The scent finishes on notes of blonde woods and musk.

Jessica McClintock Always & Forever is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum, and can be found at ulta and macys. (quote via ulta)

Ahhh! I would be in heaven if we could get this in Canada. We probably will eventually. The original Jessica McClintock I smelled on a customer when I first began to work in cosmetics and fragrances back in '94. It became an instant favourite of mine. I still love it. This new one sounds like it has so many things I love except for gardenia and freesia but it could still be a winner. Have you tried New Victorian?

I've got a sample of the always and forever. It smells very similar to the signature perfume with the same bottle…Only somehow fresher and more wearable for me. I won't buy it, but don't mind if it was a gift.

I have not tried New Victorian — and haven't seen that one at any of the mainstream stores. Her scents don't seem to get widely distributed.

oh, how funky. My name is Tomoe, so those are the first two japanese characters of my name. Interesteringly, I've never heard of Tomo as a name or as a word – even Tomoe is a bit of a rarity.

How cool — you'll have to get a bottle! I thought one of the articles said that “Tomo” meant friend, but perhaps I misunderstood.

ah, ok – my mother has always said 'tomodachi' when she's referring to friends, so tomo might be some slang/abbreviated version I don't know.

    Found it — from abc-luxe:

Tomo veut dire ami en japonais, mais c'est aussi le nom d'un nouveau parfum pour homme.
