Discontinued at L'Artisan

Posted by Robin on 16 October 2007 12 Comments

L'Artisan Parfumeur has discontinued its Jour de Fête fragrance and the Mood Swings coffret.

Also on the way out: the 50 ml sizes of Navegar, Tubereuse and Safran Troublant, and as previously reported, the 50 ml size of Dzing!.

Safran Troublant AND Dzing. They do this just to spite me.

They knew you wanted 100 ml anyway, T :-)

I woudn't rush, necessarily. When L'Artisan stops producing something, it can still be available for a very long time, sometimes a year or even more. Wait until you get a good deal!

I'm the paranoid type so running to buy now…

Seriously, I won't be at all surprised if you can still buy it in late 2008 — but do indulge your paranoia, I know the feeling when something you love is in danger :-)

Wah??? I love their Tuberose! It's buttery, and creamy, and soft, and well the best soft tuberose for daytime…ever! They better be bringing in some great new fragrances…and not at Iris Pallida prices!

Question that is totally unrelated: I love Sel de Vetiver. Do you think I would love Encre Noir, too?

    Thanks!

    Hugs!

Well, it isn't discontinued — just the small size is gone.

On Encre Noir — it is much heavier on the vetiver than Sel de Vetiver, and also darker. I like it better than SdV, but our tastes don't always mesh so don't want to say!

Meant to comment on this the other day. I've added Dzing! to my list of must-samples, but I really hope I don't like it now that the 50ml is being eliminated.

They really do this just to drive us crazy and make us weep, right? I've gotta join the perfumista bottle-split secret society…

I'd be surprised if the 50 ml bottles are gone already. Seriously, these things can hang around for so long — Fleur de Carotte, just to use one example of a L'Artisan LE, was still for sale literally years after it was last produced.
