Cristiano Fissore Rapsodia in Blu, Mary Kay Bella Belara ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 26 September 2007 4 Comments

Cristiano Fissore Rapsodia in Blu perfumeCristiano Fissore has launched Rapsodia in Blu, a new unisex fragrance...

...inspired by the Cinque Terre, five coastal villages in the Liguria region of Italy. Without being in the least aquatic, the bright, cool top notes of citruses and herbs are evocative of the endless expanse of the blue sky and the sea...Rustic and sophisticated, this harmonious unisex blend is an embodiment of Italian elegance.

Additional notes include lemon, bergamot, rosemary, petitgrain, mugweed, jasmine, lily of the valley, cedarwood and white musk. Cristiano Fissore Rapsodia in Blu is available at luckyscent, $110 for 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Mary Kay Bella Belara perfumeMary Kay has launched Bella Belara, a flanker scent to 1999's Belara for women.

The exuberant floral fruity eau de parfum captivates immediately. The senses are first treated to a delectable medley of apricot and red nectarine. At its heart, dew-covered rose petals and Moroccan jasmine unfold, while a delightful mix of creamy blond woods and cool moss linger.

’Tis the season for being beautiful, so give the New Bella Belara Eau de Parfum. It’s a delightful fine fragrance for the woman who knows how beautiful life can be.

Mary Kay Bella Belara is available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum ($34) and in limited edition, 135 ml Shimmeriffic Body Lotion ($18). (via marykay)

For some reason, the Fissore sounds just wonderful to me. (Okay, I'll admit that the “some reason” is because I've always wanted to go to Cinque Terre and the word 'rustic' just hooks me, be it in regards to scents, cheese, wine, bread, whathaveyou…)

It does sound really nice — although I'm so behind I haven't even tried the first 2 Cashmere scents.

Don't know where or when I might come across the Fissore (never heard of it before!) but it sounds like heaven! I am heading into a gloomy rainy winter in my part of the world, and this sounds like the ideal antidote.

It really does sound like just what you need for a rainy winter…but not easy to find! The 2 Cashmere scents he did prior to this both got excellent reviews though.
