Donna Karan will introduce DKNY Delicious Night this October. The "sexy floriental" fragrance...
...opens with frozen pomelo, crushed ginger and a chilled blackberry martini accord. The heart features purple freesia, night-blooming orchids, satin jasmine petals and purple iris. The scent's drydown is of molten amber, incense, myrrh extract, patchouli and velvet vetiver.
Donna Karan Delicious Night will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum and matching bath & body products, and will be exclusive to Bloomingdales for the remainder of 2007.

In September, Ralph Lauren will launch Polo Explorer, a new fragrance for men "living a more rugged and adventurous life":
Created by Honorine Blanc and Harry Fremont of Firmenich, Explorer is a fresh woody amber scent composed of top notes of mandarin oil and bergamot, middle notes of waterfall accord, coriander spice and rugged leather, and bottom notes of mahogany wood, sandalwood, mate and amber.
Ralph Lauren Polo Explorer will be available in 75 and 125 ml Eau de Toilette and in After Shave Splash. (both above via Women's Wear Daily)
Update: Ralph Lauren Polo Explorer "combines the freshness of a Hawaiian waterfall with the smokiness of Australian sandalwood and the warmth of amber from the North Sea", according to Bloomingdales, where the fragrance is now available for purchase.

I humbly predict that Delicious Night will smell kind of like Black Orchid.
Could well be, in which case I'll like it a lot more than Be Delicious!
I hate to admit (because I hate most fruity-floral scents) that DKNY Red Delicious is one of my staple 'go-to-work' scents.
I am MORE willing admit that DKNY Delicious Night sounds like trashy fun and I have always liked the Delicious-line bottles.
I could do with a little trashy fun if it isn't TOO sweet! We'll see!
I'm with you on this one! Also normally can't stand fruity-florals, but I'm a big fan of Red Delicious, which is so much softer and more elegant than Be Delicious. It doesn't win for snob appeal, certainly, and it looks a little out of place on my dresser next to the Guerlains, L'Artisans, Comme des Garcons and the like, ha ha. But it's a great everyday scent, and hey, if it smells good it smells good!
Q. What IS that smell?
A. Oh…it's the smell of chilled blackberry martini!
Q. ????
It they don't oversweeten it and there is LOTS of ginger, it could be fun, but guessing that they'll oversweeten it and the ginger will just be a little smidgen 🙂
Surprisingly, I didn't find this too sweet at all. No vanilla or overly heavy amber notes detected. It's not something I'd wear personally, but it is fun. Of all the the Delicious scents, it's the only one I enjoy. I think I like the new trend of adding “martini” accords to perfume (e.g. Lovely's apple martini note); it gives the mix an appealing dryness. A playful scent good for a night out with the girls. Not terribly seductive, IMHO. Target demographic is probably women in their mid 20s to mid 30s. And yes, the ginger *is* a little smidgen! 😉
I've heard it is really nice — need to get myself to Bloomies & check it out.
