Next month, L'Artisan Parfumeur launches L'Eau de Jatamansi, a new fragrance to match its 100% natural, certified-organic Jatamansi body collection (Body Oil, Milk Bath and Body Cream). Jatamansi is named for the Himalayan nard plant (Jatamansi in Sanskrit), also known as spikenard. Nard is a member of the valerian family and is said to be a calming agent; it is commonly used in incense and in Ayurvedic treatments.
L'Eau de Jatamansi blends nard with notes of clary sage, bergamot, grapefruit, cardamom, iced tea accord, Turkish rose, ylang ylang, patchouli, gaïac, vetiver, sandalwood, papyrus and incense.
L'Artisan L'Eau de Jatamanzi is a unisex fragrance, and will be available in 250 ml Eau de Toilette for 95€. (via beaute-addict, alzd, osmoz)
Update: see a review of L'Artisan L'Eau de Jatamansi.
I'm been wanting to try this one since I've read about it recently on a couple other blogs. I love this house and I'm hoping this release will be a winner.
Do you know if it will be available in the states next month?
Thanks,
Dawn
I recall the bergamot very well in this one…I wonder how it'll fare given the new citrus ban.
T_T
Supposedly the L'Artisan boutiques will have it May 1.
Please don't bring up the citrus ban, LOL — trying not to think about it
Thanks R.
R, Is this the annual summer limited edition? Probably the usual online shops will carry this fragrance, but I wish someone local stocked L'Artisan because I would love to try the body products, as well!
Good question. It has not been announced as a limited edition, but nor has any other L'Artisan summer scent been announced so far, so I don't know if this replaces the summer LE this year. I hope not, but I kind of think it might.
This is the first fragrance (by any of the big niche houses) totally composed of 100% natural ingredients. Surprisingly its price is quite reasonable!
I am interested in trying it out !
I have a terrible memory, but I could have sworn you disliked the L'Artisan line? But I am interested in trying it too, all natural or not.
Yes I am not a big L'Artisan fan, but that doesnt stop me from giving their frags a try and writing reviews. Who knows when I might encounter the next Dzing!..
