Look for two more fragrance releases coming soon from indie house Parfums d'Imperfiction, Eleven Minutes and O Alquimista. Both fragrances were inspired by fictional works from author Paulo Coelho:
Eleven Minutes ~ The book “Eleven Minutes” (Paulo Coelho) tells the life story of an ordinary Brazilian girl. She lives in her dream to meet Prince Charming who will take her away. The whirlpool of events leads her to Switzerland with the illusion to become a model, a star. Instead, she becomes a prostitute. Her life, however, is not despicable – she is admired by her colleagues for her desire to understand her clients not only physically – she reads economics books, newspapers, political history papers; in short, she is educating herself. Her aspirations are reflected in her aura and a famous (and young) painter sees “her light”. The magic. And he comes to the club where she works.
The perfume is a representation of this knowledge of what one wants to do – of the plan that every woman has – to meet Prince Charming, or to become a prostitute (in any sense of the word). It is about the femininity (the tuberose absolute), about the strength (the leather accord), about the sparkle in the eyes (the litsea cubeba extracts), the “light” (the sparkling honey wax absolute), about Brazil (the mimosa absolute), about the multi-facet nature of Maria (the contrasts between the freshness and the darkness).
O Alquimista ~ Paulo Coelho’s most famous book – The Alchemic – tells the story of a dream – of a following – of a boy becoming a man. The story of Santiago, an Andalusian shepherd boy, follows the long journey from his homeland of Spain to the north parts of Africa in the pursuit of a treasure. Throughout this journey, Santiago meets strange people and explores new lands following one direction – the dream.
The perfume is an evocation of the exotic lands and new experiences and people met on the way – the hot African sun (the deep and powerful amber), the beautiful gypsy woman (the sensuous rose absolute), the fervor for new experiences (the juicy dark plum), the growing up from a boy to a man with a dream (the dark tobacco absolute).
Eleven Minutes and O Alquimista will be available at first-in-fragrance in Germany, where you can also find Parfums d'Imperfiction's debut scent, Alice in Wonderland.
Great information. I can't wait to try these. Oh, and the “Alchemist” is one of my favorite books!
I have not read Paulo Coelho but now I guess I must. Both these scents sound interesting & I really liked Alice In Wonderland.
I wear the original Eclat d'Arpege and think it is lovely. Nice bottle.
VERY cute bottle, agree — I want one 🙂
