Tocca Cleopatra, Yves Rocher Comme Une Evidence Eau de Toilette ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 20 March 2007 12 Comments

Tocca Cleopatra perfume

Tocca will release a new fragrance, Cleopatra, in May:

Inspired by the Mediterranean seductress, Tocca’s Cleopatra eau de parfum captivates the senses. Fresh and sparkling grapefruit and lush greens fade into accords of sensual white jasmine and tuberose, leaving an exotic, rich dry down of warm patchouli, golden amber and rich vanilla musk

Tocca Cleopatra is an Eau de Parfum, and will be $68 for 50 ml. You can pre-order now at Tocca's website. Update: additional notes include cassis bud and peach nectar.

Other recent releases from Tocca: Florence, Stella & Touch.

Yves Rocher has launched a new Eau de Toilette version of Comme Une Evidence:

Comme une Evidence unveils a new facet of its floral chypre fragrance. Even more ethereal than the Eau de Parfum, the Eau de Toilette is luminous. The delicately green and fruity head notes of rhubarb make a fresher, more crisp introduction than that of the Eau de Parfum. Compelling rose heart notes give way to a musky, chypre base with a gentle, refined expression. Modern clarity combined with exquisite softness.

Yves Rocher Comme Une Evidence Eau de Toilette is $34 for 75 ml, but is marked down at the moment to $18.

Another lovely bottle. This time, the fragrace seems more intersting! 🙂 Another impossible brand for me.

Actually, the bottle reminds me A LOT of Flowerbomb…

Actually, this is quite pretty. I tested it at LA Sniffa, but I don't think it's pretty enough to warrant a purchase. We'll see.

    Hugs!

I haven't loved the Tocca EdPs so far, but will certainly give this one a try 🙂

Really? I'm not getting the same hand grenade vibe from it…

I sniffed it also at the LA Sniffa and it's the only Tocca that I might be able to wear. It wasn't indolic like Touch which really turned me off. I remember thinking when I sniffed Cleopatra that it was vaguely reminiscient of Narciso Rodrigue For Her.

I'll have to find a sample when it comes out.

    🙂 Dawn

Stella was the one I wanted to love, but it was so much less orange-y than I hoped. I think Sephora has the line now so samples shouldn't be hard to come by once it launches.

I confess, I love Stella. Ordered a bottle after loving the sample I received from somewhere. And there was a little card inside the box listing Tocca's perfumes and Cleopatra was on there. The notes sounded wonderful and I couldn't find it anywhere! So I just have to wait a little while 🙁

Have you tried the Stella body lotion? Very well done. And won't be too long to wait for Cleopatra now!

While visiting my mom in Atlanta, we had to make a trip to Sephora. [I inherited my makeup and fragrance loving gene from her.] I fell for and purchased a bottle of Cleopatra and mom bought the Florence. This is my first experience with Tocca. The bottle is precious, including the top which is embossed with birds and flora. Really charming.

The bottles really are charming — and how nice that you & your mom now have matching ones!
