Givenchy Very Irresistible Soleil D'Ete & Very Irresistible Fresh Attitude ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 16 March 2007 9 Comments

Very Irresistible Givenchy Fresh Attitude fragranceVery Irresistible Givenchy Soleil d'Ete fragrance

Givenchy has launched two new limited edition summer fragrances in their popular Very Irresistible line.

Very Irresistible Givenchy Fresh Attitude (above left) for men is...

...about being daring, optimistic and having a zest for life.

It’s about radiating masculinity, taking risks, being spontaneous, light-hearted, and a free spirit. But it’s also about being caring and deeply compassionate.

The "woody, fresh aromatic" scent was developed by perfumers Anne Flipo and Pierre Wargnye. The notes include fresh mint, grapefruit zest, lavender, basil, mocha and cedar. Very Irresistible Fresh Attitude is available in 50 or 100 ml Eau de Toilette. (quote via Givenchy website, additional information via osmoz, marionnaud)

Very Irresistible Givenchy Soleil D'Ete for women (above right) was developed by perfumer Sophie Labbe, and has notes of rose sorbet, aquatic accord, litchi, rose, frangipani, star anise, "salty kiss", woods and pine. Very Irresistible Soleil d'Ete is available in 75 ml Eau de Toilette. (via osmoz, marionnaud)

The Fresh Attitude copy sounds like a really bad personal ad! I love the “caring and deeply compassionate” part. Perhaps I'll buy a bottle to spritz at the SO whenever he disagrees with me.

The “caring and deeply compassionate” got me too — maybe I also need to keep a bottle on hand!

Somehow, the 'mocha' note in the new Givenchy Mens VI seems odd (mocha in a fresh scent?)…must sniff some soon.

And, can I say, the model in the advertising is A-DOR-A-BLE!

Yes he is!!! Cheered me right up this morning :-)

There is also mocha in the original VI, but admit I never smelled it, and it didn't sound as “fresh” as this new flanker.

I was in Macy*s the other night haphazardly mulling over the (mundane) collection of colognes. THe only thing I saw that caught my itnerest was the Eternity Summer for Men, which I am thrilled to know is the exact same as last year's (being that it's one of my favorite scents).

I looked at the bottles of Very Irresistible, wondering if they would be bringing back the Summer version, which is also one of my favorite scents ever. To come on this website and see that there will be one has like made my day! It probably won't be the same scent, but nonetheless. I will have to buy this one as soon as it's out.

It sounds like these are different from last year's summer versions, but you can never tell until you smell them!

I got 100ml of fresh attitude in Tenerife a couple of days ago before I came home.

it retails for £51 in Debenhams. the perfume shops over there already sell it cheaper then knock some off. I picked up a box with the wrong price on and got 100ml of it for €38.85 which is about £31.40 :D
