Alexander McQueen MyQueen Light Mist ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 20 February 2007 8 Comments

Alexander McQueen MyQueen Light Mist perfumeAlexander McQueen will follow up on 2005's MyQueen with MyQueen Light Mist, a lighter, fruitier version of the original fragrance:

MyQueen Light Mist is the new floral-woody fragrance from Alexander McQueen. Combining notes of pink grapefruit, redcurrants, rose, violet, sandalwood, patchouli, amber, white musk and tea leaves, the scent is as enveloping as the original MyQueen scent but tinged with delicious fruity accents.(via purebeauty)

MyQueen Light Mist is expected to launch this Spring.

    Hi Robin,

I know that I might be in the minority here but I really loved the original MyQueen – thank you so much for this post on the new and upcoming Light version… I am really looking forward to it even though it does sound a little generic.

I am embarrassed to admit I never smelled MyQueen except very briefly on a scent strip! It is so hard to keep up with the avalanche of new launches, LOL…but will try to give it a real test before they put out the Light Mist.

“Fruity accents.” Sigh. I like the original My Queen, actually… I'm just uninspired about all the grapefruity limited editions that every brand feels compelled to release around this time of year! :)

The grapefruit I don't mind, but there is so much redcurrant & blackcurrant in everything now that you'd think they'd be endangered in the wild (LOL…j/k, I'm sure it is all synthetic)

I couldn't agree more with all of you. The original my Queen is one of my favourites and I don't see the need to “lighten it up”. It's probably all to do with buisness, I'm afraid. People out there will love any scent with some fruit nicely tucked in.

They certainly will…Alexander McQueen is hardly the only one to figure that out ;-)

…because we REALLY need more fruity scents in our lives. How come no one has thought of it earlier?

I like My Queen. Not enough for a full bottle, but it's a nice one, for sure. No currants needed.
