Fragrance review: Creative Universe Te

Posted by Robin on 28 February 2006 13 Comments

Creative Universe Te fragrance

Creative Universe is the brainchild of Beth Terry, who started out as a creative director in the fashion industry before turning her sights to perfume:

It is clean, more warm than bright, and very smooth, with nothing like the refreshing crispness of Thé Vert…

Posted by Robin on 27 February 2006 8 Comments

By Design is a radio show on ABC Radio National in Australia. This week's show considers design aspects of perfume, and includes a discussion with fragrance writer Chandler Burr. Thanks to Kerry of Tasmanian Photographers for the link!

At a Deerfield Beach Publix, the sleek oaken perfume counter stretches a full aisle and offers shoppers the chance to pick up a $55 bottle of Armani perfume for $34.99, along with their jug of milk and loaf of bread.

Apparently the strategy is working; the typical counter does $500,000 a year in sales.

Frederic Malle is relocating from Paris to New York…
