That cookie-scented advertising that was installed in several San Francisco bus shelters as part of the "Got Milk?" ad campaign caused a bit of an uproar, and now the scented-strips have been removed. Apparently they were only in place for about 24 hours. Read more at sfgate or newyorktimes.

Hrm, that was fast. I'm curious what they used to make the scent strips, as the ad company said “The scented strips do not use any chemicals.”
I have no idea what they meant by that either. They went to some pains to indicate that they used flavor, not fragrance, components, but that doesn't mean they weren't “chemicals”.
