Luckyscent #4 by Sarah Barton-King ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 6 November 2006 5 Comments

Luckyscent #4 fragrance

Luckyscent has launched the fourth fragrance in its Untitled Series.

#4 is by Sarah Barton-King of The Pink Room, and is described as "...decadent in a breezy, 'Let them eat cake' sort of way, and while it would indeed suit a satin-bodiced young queen, we could just as easily picture it on a dazzling young socialite partying all night in Manhattan".

The fragrance notes include lemon, bergamot, peach, tiare, lily of the valley, orris, woods, vanilla, amber and soft musk. #4 is $65 for 8 ml of perfume oil.

Breezy, socialite, peach, tiare…all the red flag words are there. I am staying far, far away from this one 🙂

It doesn't sound like me either, M. I thought Pink Room was beautifully done though, if again, not me, so perhaps this one is too.

Wow–how many houses are going to ride this season's “Marie Antoinette” wave? I've already picked up the same marketing from surrounding the new Juicy Couture fragrance (really, what a name for a company, hahaha…).

It is the in thing, no? Actually I'm surprised we're not seeing more of it!

Ah, I know. 18th century Versailles is like catnip to fashion designers…
