Pure Purple will debut from Hugo Boss next month. It is...
...a floriental fragrance with gourmand notes formed from four accords, nectarine, black violet, sweet white marzipan and white suede...The juice opens with notes of nectarine and white cyclamen, while black violet forms the heart of the fragrance. The base is composed from notes of sweet white marzipan and white suede.
Hugo Boss Pure Purple is said to have been inspired by le calisson, the almond and melon specialty from Aix en Provence. It is an Eau de Parfum, and is available in 50 and 90 ml. (via escentual.co.uk)
White suede? And the UK one is another of those that has enough notes to populate a small town. I don't know. I just don't know what to think anymore.
L, it does, doesn't it! But I'd rather see a long list (since it is informative) than the ridiculously short lists so many companies publicize…given that the list being short or long doesn't tell you anything about how many ingredients are *really* in there.
White suede seems to be the new thing, no?
I was wondering about the white suede. Does white suede smell differently than say, umm, tan suede?
Um, sure…although just how, I couldn't say 😉
In perfume suede seems to bes a euphemism for a very light & polished & velvety-smooth leather aroma, and “white” probably means it is even lighter & more polished. In other words, don't expect to be reminded of animal skins.
It does sound rather interesting, surely sniff worthy, I will look for it next month and give it a try.
Am guessing it will be way too sweet for me, but I'm going to try it too!
I hope that Richard James's new scent is as beautiful as his first one.
B, have not tried the first one. Who carries it in the US?
