Forbidden Fruit, the debut fragrance from the television series Desperate Housewives, will be released as a Macy's exclusive this September:
Forbidden Fruit, concocted by Firmenich, is a fruity floriental. Top notes are of crisp Rome apples, orange flowers and ripe, juicy peaches, with a heart of wisteria (naturally, given the fact that the characters live on Wisteria Lane), jasmine, ylang-ylang and passion lily. The drydown is of cedarwood, sandalwood, vanilla and tonka bean.
Update: see a review of Desperate Housewives Forbidden Fruit.
The Thymes has launched Kimono Rose, a collection including an Eau de Parfum in spray and rollerball bottles. (both above via Women's Wear Daily)
Update: Kimono Rose is described as...
...a sheer sensual floral, feminine and soft with notes of sweet clementine and cassis that lay on a bed of peony, magnolia, jasmine and rose petals, finished with a kiss of smooth, creamy vanilla. Delicate and soft spoken, yet striking and modern. A feminine fragrance for today’s woman. (via your-cosmetics)
Chopard has launched Chopard pour Homme:
The juice, created by Firmenich’s Thierry Wasser, is an amber-woody-oriental blend. It opens on notes of yuzu, cardamom and star anise, leading to a heart of nutmeg, bourbon pepper and clary sage. The base features labdanum and cedar wood. (via moodiereport)
Chopard Pour Homme is an Eau de Toilette and is available in 35, 50 and 75 ml and in matching grooming products. (image via cosmoty.de)
Very reminiscent of the Dynasty scents of the late 80s. I was just watching that half-baked Dynasty reunion show on CBS and Linda Evans mentioned how much she loved the fragrances. I'm surprised they're going dept. store with this one; I recall the Dynasty ones were sold in drugstores.
The Desperate one…yikes, I am scared by all the (forbidden) fruityness. Chopard Pour Homme however sounds good.
I forgot about those! Krystle, wasn't it? I don't think I ever smelled it.
Personally, am quite done with apple 😉
Forever Krystle. There was a men's version called Carrington, too.
Yes, its coming back to me now. Surprised we never saw a Dallas fragrance.
