Perfumer Christopher Brosius, in collaboration with the Monell Chemical Senses Center, will present Scent is Life, "a multimedia exhibition that explores the powerful and personal nature of scent":
Many of the installations use scent to take the audience on a journey. Scents including boardwalk, sun tan lotion and car interior with wet bathing suit create the experience Day at the Beach.
The exhibit will run from May 19 through July 1 at the Esther M Klein Gallery at the Science Center, at 3600 Market Street in Philadelphia. (via perfumerflavorist & kleinartgallery)

Beach 1966 is so definitely the smell of a beach. I was pretty astounded by the reality experience. I'm not sure I'd want to actually wear it as a perfume but I want it all over my house to lift my spirits up. It's a very cool thing that they're doing, combining scent art with multimedia. I hope to take my Sensorium to the next level, too.
S, it really is a great scent, although I prefer Mr. Hulot's Holiday for a beach smell. And hope I will manage to get myself to Philly to see the exhibit…
I am sensing a field trip…
Same here!
