Apothia L Eau de Parfum & Mona di Orio: new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 13 February 2006 6 Comments

Apothia L Eau de ParfumThis week Apothia will launch L Eau de Parfum (see bottle at right), a fragrance inspired by the Showtime series The L Word. It was created by perfumer Yann Vasnier and includes notes of angelica, juniper, cardamom, violet leaf, Florentine orris butter, vetiver, sandalwood, musk and crystal amber. Update: see a review of Apothia L Eau de Parfum.

Mona di Orio, said to be a protégé of Edmond Roudnitska, has launched a new line with three fragrances. Carnation, with precious woods, spices and tuberose; Lux, with lemon zest, bitter orange, bergamot, sandalwood, attar of roses, cardamon, saffron and amber; and Nuit Noire, with roses, jasmine, tuberose, clove, balsamic resins and precious woods. The line has a website, and is available at Les Senteurs in London.

OMG, the website for Mona di Orio has the shlockiest 'movie' and you have to watch the whole damn thing to get a glimpse of the products! And that's all you get—a glimpse. No info, no nothing. I was interested in the scents from your announcement, but I'm seriously wondering how good they could be, judging from their worthless website!

Completely agree L, it doesn't look like a finished website.

I received my sample of L yesterday and reviewed it on Legerdenez. It's a rave review, by the way. I love it! It's a grander more feminine interpretation of some of the same notes that were used in L'homme de coeur.
