A man in Florida....
....stole a tractor-trailer carrying more than $1.9 million in Perry Ellis fragrances from the Flying J truck stop in Fort Pierce, then led authorities on a chase that ended in a police officer's back yard near Boynton Beach. Along the way, he swam through a canal and hid behind homes, only to be captured and charged with grand theft and resisting arrest.
I am wondering what the haul would have been worth if it had been, say, Chanel perfume. Read the rest in the Palm Beach Post (link no longer working, sorry!).
The question is, why did he bother stealing Perris Ellis's fragrances? If it was Chanel, I could understand. If it was Lutens, I would have been tempted myslef. But Perry Ellis? LOL
I am assuming he was utterly unaware of the comparative retail value, LOL…he should have been looking for that truck labelled “JAR”.
But presumably the truck labelled 'JAR' comes with armed outriders and helicopter gunships? The smart thing would be to disguise your JAR shipment as 'Perry Ellis'….
LOL — so true, N!
