It's the wrong blog for that, but I would like to *slap* that woman.

LOL — I had the same, sick response: gee, you could buy a lot of perfume for $800,000.

I know absolutely zero about chemical sensitivities or how serious her claim was. I think she was suing for being wrongfully fired, not really entirely for the Tresor incident? But the amount of the original settlement was obviously ridiculous & easy fodder for jokes.

Hey, I feel her pain — Tresor makes me kind of sick, too. Hmmm… I wonder what kind of settlement I could get from Hechts for my pain and suffering after that SA drenched me in Trouble. C'mon, that's worth a couple mil right there!

Well, its worth at least a free bottle of something better than Trouble 🙂

Great…now you won't be able to wear perfume anywhere. Soon they'll have a “perfume” section in resturants. Seriously, this is bad for us…

That comment made me laugh out loud!! Makes you wonder how that lady did ANYTHING without getting whiffs of something somewhere. I would love to read the transcript on that case — or meet the attorney who took it on! 🙂

Too funny – Smoking or Nonsmoking? Decaf or regular? Leaded or unleaded? Fragrance or unfragranced? hahahaha Great comment raincheck!

    Happy New Year all –

    LOL at both of you!

But seriously, I don't see this as having a huge impact. The judge actually sounded pretty disgusted with the whole thing, and questioned whether the woman had a real perfume allergy at all.

He said the jury had been “inflamed” and he'd been tempted to toss the whole thing … I'd love to know how they'd been “inflamed” … and I have such a jaundiced view of the whole chemical sensitivity thing … *gets ready to be assaulted* … to my mind, there's a whole lot of Munchhausen's Syndrome going on with this (illness as an attention-getting mechanism) oh. and Happy New Year, R! ♥ xoxo

LOL — maybe they sprayed Tresor on the jury?

Happy New Year to you too M! Hope it is a great one.

    Hello all, FYI:
Did you know that money you win in a lawsuit is non-taxable?
Same goes for money you get from an insurance claim or settlement. Now you can see why so many people would rather take their chances on filing and maybe winning lawsuits than go to work.
