The Bangkok Post has a short interview with perfumer Francis Kurkdjian (link no longer working, sorry!).
Want a custom fragrance but don't want to make a large investment of time or money? Apparently you can create one online.

Cute and relatively young (Francis Kurkdjian I mean), nice!
He is cute! Unfortunately, I haven't smelled a lot of the stuff he's made. I checked the article as soon as I read Colombina's announcement that he's cute, then checked your Noses list after I realized that I hadn't smelled anything they mentioned in the article.
Narciso Rodriguez, IIRC, was a scent that believed in the power of musk, but which struck me as kind of smelling like flowers in chicken soup. Wacky and neat, but not something I could wear. I wasn't crazy about Ungaro Apparition (it was fruity floral, right? I forgot it instantaneously), and Iris Nobile struck me as a bit heavyhanded. Still, no doubting, he's cute.
I thought it was funny how he hedged his comments about wearing scent, knowing the publication was intended for an East Asian audience. It is so bloody hot and humid in Thailand that wearing any fragrance at all can become cloying and annoying to the wearer. I could only wear light citrusy cologne-type scents while I was there. Even a pale jasmine floral seemed overwhelming. I did manage a straight sandalwood (Tam Dao), surprisingly, but I suspect it worked only because it was dry and not creamy.
VERY young, I was surprised!
I was too young when I was in Thailand to wear fragrance, but have to add that it was not only hot & humid but also just plain fragrant: there were so many smells in Bangkok then that any personal fragrance would have added too much to the mix. Don't know if it is still that way now.
I love Iris Nobile, but there are lots on that list that I haven't tried either.
