Latest cheap candle discovery: Soyology Venus

Posted by Robin on 8 April 2005 5 Comments

Soyology Venus candle

Soyology candles are made from a blend of soy wax, and I think soy is supposed to be better for you, although I have no idea why. My primary interest in Soyology is the price: $12 for an 8 oz jar with a lid. Perfect!

Venus is described as an "intoxicating blend of a true Mediterranean orange blossom softened by subtle citrus notes". It is mostly orange blossom, and just the way I like it: dry, slightly bitter, just a touch of citrus. The throw is excellent, and it burns clean.

Available at scentsandsprays or directly from soyology.

I've been stalking those candles online for a while, wondering if I should give them a shot. Maybe I will now. Oh, and soy wax is supposed to burn at a lower temperature and give off less soot, which leaves your curtains (and your lungs) a little cleaner.

Thanks for the clarification on soy wax, T, I am clueless about candles.

I have heard that the Soyology Chai is wonderful, and hope to try that next.

You need to get with it girl and stop burning, start warming! With warming only the aroma is realeased into the air and its sooooo much stronger and nicer.

Oh and soyology lotions are great too!
