Yves Saint Laurent Opium Fleur de Shanghai, i Profumi di Firenze Magnolia Dolce ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 1 March 2005 11 Comments

Yves Saint Laurent Fleur de Shanghai perfumeThe new Opium Fleur de Shanghai by Yves Saint Laurent is now available online at Sephora. The notes are Chinese Magnolia Flower, Mandarin Orange, Sensual Vanilla. Per Elle France, the fragrance is a limited edition with a lighter version of the original Opium's amber accord.

And thank you to Vicky for passing on the news about the upcoming release of Magnolia Dolce from i Profumi di Firenze. The scent will be exclusive to Barneys New York and should be available in late March. According to what Vicky learned from Isabella Imports,

Magnolia Dolce is a magnificent soliflore perfume distilled from the alluring Magnolia Purpurea flowers that bloom with spring’s first warmth on the hills of Tuscany and Umbria. The velvety white petals are bathed in Damascus Rose water for 10 days to capture their delectable creaminess. Blazingly feminine and soignée, Magnolia Dolce is the perfect scent for this season’s supremely feminine silhouettes.

The scent will be featured in the Barneys spring beauty catalog in April.

Beautyhabit now has The Different Company's Jasmine de Nuit, and several new fragrances from Des Filles a la Vanille.

Love the news about the IPF Magnolia. I have been searching for a true Magnolia for a while and hope this is a winner. I will make sure to check with Barneys at the end of March. Thanks, R.

Great news about Des Filles at BeautyHabit! They're priced well there too. I hear a bottle of Riviere de Janvier calling to me . . . .

Wow, I didn't even notice that the price is cheaper than luckyscent. That usually seems to be the case though!

I just received my bottle of the Janvier; I love it!! A nice fig for summer, and I like the hint of vanilla. Wish it had more staying power, though.
