Christian Dior will launch Les Élixirs Précieux, a new collection of four perfume oils inspired by the Middle Eastern practice of fragrance layering. The four scents, Oud, Ambre, Rose and Musc, are meant to be layered with the La Collection Privée Christian Dior fragrances.
Suggested pairings for Les Élixirs Précieux include Ambre with New Look 1947, Rose with Bois d'Argent and Musc with Granville.
I do not know if Dior will distribute these outside the Middle East; I will update with more information and sizes when I can.

Update: The Élixirs Précieux are now shown online in the US Dior webstore, 3 ml for $300. The Oud Elixir is meant to layer with Gris Montaigne.
I probably won’t ever try these being an aromatherapist and having a massive collection of essential oils, but I applaud them for thinking outside of the box.
I applaud them if they’re not outrageously expensive 😉
I’m sure they will be expensive and those bottles doesn’t look big. I give them 15 mls, 30 mls at the highest.
Sounds likely.
nice toys!
Yep!
::: yawning :::
But they look kind of nice. 😀
The packaging does look really lovely.
That sounded interesting right up to “I do not know if Dior will distribute these outside the Middle East…”
Hmm, I had a friend with family in Turkey; she travels home fairly often. Where was her number?…
I just got an email about a 20-24% increase in the price of the Dior La Collection Privee effective January 13th. Sounds like the increase is just in time for them to be layered with Les Élixirs Précieux.
Lol.
Eeek (in a good way), I just received this retraction from the Dior SA:
“I was mistakenly given the wrong information. The price increase I mentioned in my email is only for the Clothing Boutiques and not the Beauty Boutiques. As of now our prices will stay the same on La Collection Privee.”
I predicted more oils this year!
However, I neglected to predict that I would be able to attain and afford them.
I will try to remember to include myself in my next year’s predictions.
And don’t forget that you’ll need them all…..every. single. one.
I don’t think so.
