Indie line Dawn Spencer Hurwitz has launched Iridum, a new fragrance in the Secrets of Egypt collection. New interpretations of three prior fragrances from the original 2010 set, Antiu, Keni and Megaleion, have also been released.
Iridum is...
A coming together of Rome and Egypt, like Antony and Cleopatra. The cool Mediterranean Iris meets the exotic spice and incense of Egypt… with modern new world woods.
Iridum, as it comes to us from the ancients in the Roman / Latin, is the closest of all of the “New Kingdom” releases to the original concept of the scent, as it is nearly all botanical, but some stylistic liberties were taken in the form of new materials to render a gorgeous, woody / incense Orris that is chic, more modern than earthy, and quite universal (unisex).
Dawn Spencer Hurwitz Iridum is available in 10 and 30 ml Eau de Toilette ($48/$115) and in 1 dram or 5 ml Parfum; samples are also available.

I do realize these are re-releases but the new packaging and ad copy of this trio are too similar conceptually to Histoires de Parfums’ Veni Vidi and Vici. And both are built around cardamom. So is someone zoomin someone else here?
I seriously doubt it!
As a certified Dzongkha freak, I am dying to get my paws on some Iridum. Will be interesting to see if and how the two compare.
If you find out, do tell! I adore Dzongkha too.
