Friday scent of the day 11/8
Happy Friday, plus happy National STEM Day and National Cappuccino Day. Birthdays: Bram Stoker, Minnie Riperton, Bonnie Raitt, Kazuo Ishiguro, Rickie Lee Jones. Our community project for today: for the 10th anniversary of our Friday projects (give or take a few months), we’re repeating the first one we did, way back in 2014… think of your favorite fragrance note (or one of them, if you can’t narrow down), wear your favorite fragrance that features that note, and tell us about it. Me: still out of town without any perfume, and zero points for my DIY lotion with ylang and sweet orange, but extra points for massive ice cream consumption yesterday (and which I hope to repeat today). After lunch I had a scoop of Roasted Banana and a scoop of Guava from Mimi’s Handmade in Arlington; after dinner I had a scoop of Banana and a scoop of Dark Chocolate Fondente at the Pitango in Penn Quarter DC. I will be on a diet next week…

It’s Thursday, plus National Bittersweet Chocolate with Almonds Day. Birthdays: Ruby Hurley, Albert Camus, Al Hirt, Joni Mitchell. What fragrance are you wearing?
I’m out of town and in my haste to leave yesterday I totally forgot perfume. I’m in my favorite DIY lotion with ylang and sweet orange, and will be claiming zero comunity project points this week, unless anyone would like to join me in a community project on ice cream consumption. (Last night I had a scoop of Roasted Banana and a scoop of Choco Choco from Mimi’s Handmade in Arlington.)
