New Yin-Yang candles from Paddywax: "These unique 11 oz. ceramic candles have two separate fragrances that can stand alone or create a new delightful aroma when burned together. Yin & Yang encourages slowing down and finding inner peace." The black candle (shown) holds Palo Santo and Cade candles, there is also white (Teak and Black Salt), pink (Cactus Flower and Water Mint), blue (Sea Moss and Sage) and green (Green Tea and Aloe). Around $33.

More from Paddywax: the National Parks collection, with crackling wood wicks. A portion of the proceeds goes to the National Park Foundation. If you shop around you can find candles for Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Glacier, Yellowstone, Olympic, Acadia and Great Smokey Mountains (and possibly others I missed). Nordstrom has some of them at the moment ($33-34, plus there is a cute Mr. Kringle Candle plus Match Holder stack), and you'll also find a selection at Amazon.

From Tocca, the John Robshaw collection, featuring handmade ceramic candles with lids. Available in a number of scents, designs and colors; shown is Pondicherry (“An old French colonial outpost in India, Pondicherry paints its mansions in fantastic alizarin pinks and cadmium yellows. I love exploring Goubert Market for its baskets of vetyver, garland flowers, black currants and pamplemousse.”) 270g (55 hour burn time), $60 each at Beautyhabit…
