Another candle collab, this one involving our own Dr. Jessica (she consulted on the art history): the Hiroshige candle, created by Joya in collaboration with the Brooklyn Museum for the Hiroshige’s 100 Famous Views of Edo exhibit. Shown in Spring (at left, Cherry Blossom; "Sugared floral: soft cherry blossom leaves and petals, balanced by water moss, fruit buds, warm woods and honeyed resins") and Summer (at right, Plum Rain; "Shaded green tea blends with raw earth, spice, straw, petrichor and fresh-cut lumber to evoke hidden marshes and purifying showers dispatched by rolling black clouds"), also available in Autumn (Vermilion Maple) and Winter (Purple Wisteria). $28 each for 142g at Joya (where they still have that cronut candle for $32 if you need to bump yourself up to free shipping, plus a nice-looking Year of the Dragon jasmine candle that is a new lemming for me, $38) or directly from Brooklyn Museum.

You know if I wanted that one I want this one even more: L'Artisan Parfumeur's L'Ambre candle in a special limited edition for Cabana Magazine's 10th anniversary. "With notes of vanilla, cinnamon, and tonka bean, this candle is a true sensory delight. Hand-painted and crafted with care, this candle is an ode to Amber with its perfect blend of spice and sweetness." $250 for 400g at Cabana Magazine.

A lemming for fans who have been missing Atelier Cologne…they have repackaged (and possibly reworked) the fragrances and have relaunched in China and North Asia. Many of the fragrances can be found on Lookfantastic at the moment for shipping to Europe. It’s a start, maybe they’ll be back in the US some day but who knows. Below the jump, a closer look at the bottles, still sold in 30 and 100 ml…

From Parfums de Marly, Delina in a limited edition collector bottle: "Inspired by the floral motifs in 18th-century interiors, a climbing rose evokes Nature's way of prevailing, whether the flower overtakes the bottle or blossoms when worn. At the heart of this eau de parfum is the Damascena rose, the most noble of them all, blossoming upon contact with the skin and imprinting its distinctive signature. Elevated by notes of lychee and enveloped in vanilla and white musk." $385 for 75 ml Eau de Parfum at Saks.
