Thierry Mugler is set to launch his next women's fragrance. After the scent has been presented to journalists and professionals, the public (or the public lucky enough to live in Paris, anyway) will be able to experience the fragrance at Initiatic space of Thierry Mugler, 49 Avenues Montaigne, 75008 Paris, from September 15 through October 15. Givenchy will release Very Irresistible for men in August. The fragrance was created by nose Pierre Wargnye and is described as a “woody green fragrance, with notes of mint, grapefruit peel, mocha and hazelnut wood”. Update: see a review of Very Irresistible for men here….
Alfred Sung will release his next fragrance, Jewel, this fall. Jewel has notes of neroli flower, pear, blackcurrant and jasmine. Givenchy launched Eau de Givenchy in 1980, and I almost certainly bought a bottle shortly thereafter as it was one of my staples in college. Eventually I moved on to other fragrances — this was back in the day when I would never have seen the need to own more than 2 or 3 perfumes at a time — and I only recently had the chance to try it again. The notes are bergamot, spearmint, tagetes, greens, fruits, honeysuckle, jasmine, lily of the valley, tuberose, rose, cyclamen, orris, musk, cedarwood, sandalwood, and moss.
