Chelsea Physic Garden x 4
The Chelsea Physic Garden, near London, was established in 1673 as the Apothecaries’ Garden. We start with an introduction, followed by (below the jump) the head of education, Michael Holland, introducing the wildlife living in the log pile and the wormery (6 minutes). Then 8 minutes on The Art and Healing Power of Plants, a 2019 exhibit in collaboration with Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust. Last, a quick introduction to 3 carnivorous plants.
Japanese gardens all over x 5
First up, (1) a brief promo for the Shofuso Japanese House and Garden Philadelphia’s West Fairmount Park. Then below the jump (2) the “season opening” video for 2019 at the Anderson Japanese Garden in Rockford, Illinois, followed by (3) a rainy Autumn day (October 2018) at the Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden in Lethbridge, Alberta.
