5 Ocean-Inspired Treats ~ body products review
Although our summer “unofficially” ended on Labor Day and “officially” ended on September 23 with the autumnal equinox, my corner of the world was warm and steamy until this morning, when temperatures abruptly dropped thirty (!) degrees and a cool drizzle began (and lasted all day). As much as I look forward to fall, I do enjoy using fragrances and scented body products that evoke some ideal summer day at the seashore. Here are a few recommended items that I’ve recently tried.
Zum Bar Goat’s Milk Soap in Sea Salt: Zum has been around so long, as a reliable standby in “health food stores” and the like, that sometimes I need to be reminded how much I like this brand…

I have yet to fall hard for a single Aerin fragrance, and I have yet to smell the latest, Limone di Sicilia, but I'm still tempted by the body cream, because a heavily fragranced lemon cream would be a handy thing, and generally speaking, Estée Lauder heavily scents their body products. (The Bronze Goddess version lasts longer on skin, and has more sillage, than the spray fragrance.) 190 ml of the Limone di Sicilia cream, unfortunately, is $90, which is more than I will spend in any case. But if anyone has tried this, do comment! Maybe I'll get lucky and find it on sale.

Bruno Fazzolari has done up his Monserrat fragrance in a cream: "This concentrated all-over creme has a fresh, bright scent with invigorating notes of apricot, pink grapefruit, osmanthus and fresh green leaves. It offers outstanding hydration and protection for the skin: shea butter guards and moisturizes, while sea buckthorn, rich in omega-7 fatty acid, supports healing; soothing oat and aloe restore softness. Perfect for body after bathing and for dry hands." $28 for 60 ml at the Bruno Fazzolari site.

I already use a magnesium lotion, but did not know you could buy scented versions. Nfuse makes body lotions in citrus, eucalyptus, lavender and rose (and an unscented version as well), all with 110mg per teaspoon, about $15 each, and they also make magnesium-based deodorants. You can find them at Amazon.
