Into the shoes of Ernest Beaux
Commissioned by Chanel and produced by Paris-based studio Atelier Daruma, the 15-minute immersive experience puts participants into the shoes of Ernest Beaux, the Russo-French perfumer who created the iconic elixir for the fashion icon. Voicing an animated version of Coco Chanel in both English and French, the Oscar-winning actress plays the designer at the height of her Queen of Paris fame, as a 38-year-old doyenne and magnetic pole for the city’s modernist and avant-garde scenes.

Allow nature to do its job
First, they allow nature to do its job by maintaining grass to attract aphids, an insect that ladybugs and others feed off of, which keeps the ecosystem’s balance, hence helping with the fungus. And second, they introduced something a bit more experimental: They play piano notes to the roses. “We perceive it as music, but plants perceive it as frequency,” said [Jospeh] Mul. According to him, they’ve observed a positive effect on the roses, boosting their immune system and allowing them to ward off the fungus better.

The daily lemming
From Chanel, the limited edition Chance Eau Tendre Music Box: "Inspired by the advertising film directed by Jean-Paul Goude [ed. note: this one? this?], the CHANCE EAU TENDRE music box offers a dynamic encounter with chance, in the form of a mobile theatre. True pink sets the tone for this limited-edition item, creating an aesthetic that revolves around a pastel palette. Dancers rotate around CHANCE EAU TENDRE to the beat of the film's energetic score. Each embossed cardboard box is handcrafted and the figurines are individually painted. A collectible keepsake." Includes a 100 ml bottle of Chance Eau Tendre and a rechargable battery + USB cable, $330 AUD at Chanel in Australia.
