This might hit the spot: Klar's Pinot Noir soap. "One among a line of plant-based soaps, Klar's Pinot Noir Soap is manufactured using natural extracts from the grape cultivar called pinot noir. Famous for both its deep hue and its inclusion in some of the finest wines around the world, the pinot noir lends the soap a pleasing, aromatic scent." $11.75 for 150g at Fendrihan.

Today's lemming is courtesy of reader Coumarin (I stole it from Coumarin is probably more accurate): Ephemera Soap, by Maak Lab x Ghostly. "Ghostly has joined forces with Portland-based scent lab Maak Lab to produce a beautifully scented castile soap. Packaged as one, the slab of soap breaks into two perfectly sized bars revealing a cobranded stamp featuring the Ghostly and Maak Lab logos. With notes of balsam, vinyl, geranium, and black pepper, Ephemera is as aromatherapeutic as it is cleansing." The two bar pack is $10 at The Ghostly store.

I've never tried Thayer's Witch Hazel Body Bars, but I've gone though plenty of bottles of their Witch Hazel toner. The bars come in Citrus, Rose and Peppermint: "Bubbling With Aromatherapy & Moisture. Thayers Peppermint Witch Hazel Aloe Vera Body Bar restores the skin while stirring the senses. Organic witch hazel and aloe vera cool and soothe as coconut and palm oils smooth and moisturize. Count on this cleansing bar to awaken both body and mind." $5 for 141g.

One more serving of fruit before we move on? Nesti Dante's Il Frutteto soap set, with six 150g bars in Pomegranate & Black Currant, Citron & Bergamot, Fig & Almond Milk, Red Grapes & Blueberry, Peach & Melon and Olive Oil & Tangerine. $34 at Amazon, where you can also find the bars individually in 250g, around $8 a bar.
(Mostly) Scented Father’s Day Gifts ~ 2017 Edition
For Father’s Day, I’ve made a little list of gifts I’D like to receive (if I were a father). Be gone shaving supplies (hardware and shave cream); I’d be so mad getting “gifts” dealing with a hated activity. No foam or fancy razor or natural-bristle brush ever made shaving fun. Aftershave? That’s a skin-searing/epidermis-destroying liquid. Ties? Weeeeeell…I admit I love ties.
Following you’ll find a quirky array of things to spray, drink, plant, bathe with, rub on dry skin or tie around the neck (the only unscented item here).
We all know about vintage perfumes…but vintage SHAMPOO? I was thrilled to discover that The Vermont Country Store (where I often “browse”) has revived Lemon Up shampoo (“every bottle contains the juice of one whole lemon!”) If your father grew up in the 70s he may love to receive the shampoo/conditioner duo…
