The spot for DKNY 24/7.
Friday scent of the day 7/26
It’s the last Friday in July. Happy 81st to Mick Jagger! (And a very happy 79 to Helen Mirren.) Our community project for today: scent a Rolling Stones song, or scent Mick Jagger himself, or do whatever you want with the theme.
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
I’m scenting the 1966 Stones song I Am Waiting. (Like many people, I first heard this song many years later, when Wes Anderson used it in his 1998 movie Rushmore.) I’m in Astier de Villatte Grand Chalet…
No compelling evidence
But researchers in Germany who had men sniff women’s body odour found no compelling evidence that it was more attractive when the women were at their most fertile. And they saw no variations in the odour’s chemical makeup linked to peak fertility.

Kerosene Found in Light ~ new fragrance
Indie line Kerosene has launched Found in Light, a new gourmand fragrance…
The daily lemming
Just in case you failed to recognize yesterday's Soleil incense holder from L'Objet as the bargain it is, here's the Oiseau Incense Burner from Astier de Villatte, in glazed terracotta, $600 at Aedes. It would go nicely with their bird incense box. If that's too rich for your blood there's always the Encensoir Chat Setsuko (kitty! want!), currently in stock at Luckyscent for $385.
