Chanel will launch Allure Homme Sport Superleggera, a new limited edition fragrance for men. Allure Homme Sport Superleggera is a flanker to 2004's Allure Homme Sport, which was a flanker to 1998's Allure Homme.
A distinctive new limited edition interpretation of Allure Homme Sport bridging intensity and lightness.

I pushed the freshness in the zesty notes, and those materials in the woody notes gave me the counterpart to the freshness with something more vibrant. There was this whole amber-y note made of sandalwood that I rebalanced with sandalwood, patchouli, and certain white musk notes. This is mostly in the background. Then I extended the fresh notes, the citrus and mandarin notes, and found ways to use concentrated citrus notes that make a more nervous, almost metallic quality.
Allure Homme Sport Superleggera was developed by Chanel house perfumer Olivier Polge, who is quoted just above. Additional notes include cedar.
Chanel Allure Homme Sport Superleggera will probably be available in 50 and 100 ml; I will update when I can.

Update: as of late August, Allure Homme Sport Superleggera appears to be only sold in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.
I was a huge fan of the original Allure Homme when it came out, but I don’t recognise it anymore. Sure, the DNA is still there but gone are the sizzling citrus and pepper up top and the whole is now drowned in gallons of white musk. That’s why I don’t know how I feel about this launch. On paper it sounds amazing but I have a feeling I’ll be disappointed.
I hear you! I did like the one flanker, Edition Blanche I think? I would have to go look it up.
This feels very low-brow for Chanel.
