It's Almost-Friday plus International Fragrance Day. Also, World Vermouth Day, the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, World Poetry Day and the International Day of Forests. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm in Providence Perfume Co Magnolia Mist.
Reminder: on 3/22, it's spring! Wear a spring floral, or any fragrance that says spring to you (if you're in the southern hemisphere, adjust accordingly.)
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2024, where I'll try (but usually fail) to have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: top image is magnolia - It is spring for sure š [cropped] by spisharam at flickr; some rights reserved. [A repeat...I used this picture back in 2015.]
International Fragrance Day! That works out well for us lot.
Today itās spring greenery day 4 and Iām in Bulgari Eau ParfumĆ©e au ThĆ© Vert, which (quelle surprise) I bought as soon as I smelled it because I just knew. Airy, gauzy, and green as anything. The perfect spring scent.
Because we celebrate Fragrance Day every day!!
We don’t need fragrance day to remember to wear fragrance!
You smelled great today.
Nicolai Le Temps d’une Fete
Mmmmmmmm, beautiful.
Such a perfect spring scent, you smell wonderful.
Lovely!
That’s one of the best!
After all the talk yesterday about Bois des Iles extrait, I had to wear that.
I am off work today and have a fun, relaxing day ahead. I will go for my haircut, get a book that I ordered and going for dinner with friends.
That sound like a pretty perfect day-that’s what my Saturday will be like. You smell amazing.
Have a wonderful day!
you smell good!
You smell divine
Enjoy your day off!
Iām in SMN Eva, one of my very best favorite spring scents. Truth be told, itās great in summer and fall as well.
I donāt have any SMN. I was in their iconic Florence store in October last year, was still in a 2+ year no buy, would have bought something (the experience!) but it was just so overwhelming.
I just need to get some samples (once I lift my current no buy). Will note this one!
Yum.
Wearing Tauer Amber Flash Body Oil because I needed something warm and cozy on this sunny but windy, freezing day. Temps are feeling in the low 20s.
Having my third cup of coffee and a banana muffin.
Happy Thursday! āļø
You smell wonderful! Rare is the day that I have more than 2 cups of coffee and most of the time itās only one.
Thank you, Hajusuuri! I always take 2 cups of coffee a day. On very long, busy day no more than 3 cups. I am definitely a coffee drinker. Tea, only once in a while.
Youāve described my coffee habits perfectly. One of the simplest, purest joys of my day.
There is nothing more uplifting and delicious like the smell of coffee when it is being brewed, especially very early in the morning!
Love the smell of coffee. Can’t drink it, though. It keeps me awake!
I can have a cup of coffee early in the evening, and it doesn’t affect my sleep. But that’s something I rarely do. I guess I have developed some tolerance to it.
I’m in Daim Blond, cause it’s cold and snowing/raining here. I keep having to go out, and so I’m good and damp. Looking forward to a hot bath after work, and something good to eat, and an early night in nice clean sheets!
You smell wonderful! Daim Blond is one of my favorite scents.
I really love it, too – thanks, pl67 š
yep, you smell delish.
Thank you, apsara š
You smell amazing! Thatās a perfect scent for a cold day.
I prefer this scent when it’s cool or cold out. I think it loses something in the heat. Thanks, sistine!
Oh that’s such a beauty. You smell fantastic. I really regret getting rid of my bottle in a spell of madness some years ago.
I think you are right that Daim Blond is best in cool/cold weather. It shines then.
Wearing something that came free with moisturizer from sephora order. Laundry scent, nice but provokes laundry all the same. I had hopes with lilly of the valley being named but tonka bean seemed like an odd combo… oh well. 8 hours until I can go home and scrub it off.
Yuck, sorry shellyw!
It’s was only 20F when I woke up and I’m wearing Patchouli Antique today. Sunny and less wind than yesterday so that’s nice.
Thanks for all the well wishes on Tuesday. This is such a lovely and supportive place to hang out š¹
So glad to see your post – sending a fragrant wave and you smell wonderful. Cold (and windy) weather twins, but we’ve had lovely sunshine.
That is a beauty.
Dang, that’s cold!
Chiming in late today but hope everything is going well ringthing! You hobbling around? Started PT yet?
Yes to both hobbling and PT, I’m getting around fine š
Great.
I’m wearing Ann GĆ©rard Perle de Mousse. I’ve been neglecting this one and it’s sweeter sibling Ciel d’Opale. A shame they’re no longer in production.
That was a fabulous line! Perle de Mousse especially is gorgeous.
Oh, it is a great scent. And very fitting for the CP. It is on my list for this week too.
Itās very cold here, but in the spirit of Spring Iām wearing Chanel No. 19 poudreā.
Very flowers pushing through the snow!
Well said, Desirae; and jks, you smell wonderful. I used to be a little ashamed of liking Poudre because of all the passionate fans of “real” No. 19. š
No. 19 Poudre is a lovely springtime pick.
No. 19 Poudre is fantastic! Might copy this for tomorrow..
Hello all!
It’s a soggy mess here today, and my walk to class is about 10 minutes of uncovered fun.
Wearing Iris de Nuit to keep cool; raincoats get so stuffy.
Have a great day everyone!
Yuck, hope you did not get soaked!
SOTD is box of eels EDP again as I have another final, final interview with other place.
No word from executive fellowship yet. They commit to three days after interview, and have done everything they said they would do, so we shall see.
PSA – Luckyscent has 10% off plus free shipping TODAY
Code DAY10.
Good luck! All these āfinal finalsā are killing me and Iām not even involved! š It must be nerve wracking for you.
oye ve Deva. Too old for this.
it’s a different kind of final, final bracketology for a different kind of march madness.
one…
more…
year…
ha, ha re: bracketology – that’s the winning spirit.
fingers and toes crossed for you, apsara.
you smell good and all the best for the interview!
thanks for the discount code, took the opportunity to stock up on handsoaps š
Do you have any soaps to recommend, especially bar soaps? My favorite is SMN Melograno but I’d love to find something cheaper.
For a cheap thrill, I like the Florida Water bar soap! Smells lovely and holds up well. I also like Diptyque soaps, they stay scented forever and perfume the whole bathroom but def on the pricey side. And of course, Lush soaps, especially Karma but they do tend to get mushy towards the end.
Most of the time I just pick bar soaps up at random lil gift stores in cities I visit, so it’s a mixed bag.
I will check out Florida Water, I’m not familiar with them at all. And yes to Diptyque soaps, I’ve only used them in hotel toiletries, I was impressed too.
Thanks!
Have you tried the Roger Gallet soaps? Carnation, fig, lime/ linden all good
So many interesting scents to explore at Roger Gallet, thanks for the recommendation!
my pleasure to help you spend!!
Good luck with this final interview, and I hope you head back soon!
š
Good luck! The free shipping may put me over the edge.
Fingers crossed for you. What a drawn out process
Good luck to you!
Good luck! My fingers and toes are crossed for you.
Hope that you hear *something* soon about those interviews!
I hope you hear some “good news” soon!
Wearing two drops of Jean Patou’s “Eau de 1000,” a first for me. Such intoxicating, dramatic stuff. (I suppose I’d better wait for it to quiet down before heading to the gym.)
I love your scent of the day, Daniel. Wish I would smell things like this on people around here. People tend to not wear much fragrance. Enjoy the gym, too š
Thanks, Carole. The 1000 is settling into a skin scent, so I think I can safely hit the gym.š (Gyms and airplanes are places where I try to be āquietā with my fragrances. Otherwise, Iām not afraid of calling olfactory attention to myself!)
That is the right thing to do! Someone was spraying something STRONG and SWEET in the women’s locker room at my Y this evening, and hey, I am pro-fragrance but that is not pleasant when you walk out of the sauna.
You smell great and opulent, I have 1000 vintage EDT and modern EDP and definitely like my vintage a little bit better
I love that one but it wears me!
Vintage Patou 1000 is definitely the way to go. I was disappointed with a recent travel spray of the EdP.
Wearing Greenwitch by Roxana Illuminated, appropriate for the community project for all that there’s a foot of snow on the ground today. I put in an order with Luckyscent for Hilde Soliani samples yesterday, I’m not usually a gourmand girl but these ones look so unique that I wanted to try them.
A foot of snow! I am sorry Desirae. Greenwitch sounds like the perfect antidote.
Iām in Un Jardin a Cythere. Itās been a Hermes week for me, and today is the first day Iāve done a non JCE scent. This one does require many sprays.
We are line for 5-8 inches of snow tomorrow! Ugh! I thought we were done with that stuff, at least Iād hoped we were. Itās supposed to hit us right around morning commute time and itās my day off so luckily I wonāt have to deal with it. The weatherman says the ground is dry so it may not stick around for long. Good!
I’m getting snow tomorrow too. Last I checked it should be around 4-5 inches. Lucky you being off tomorrow!
They changed it 3-7 now. Lol.
Letās hope for only 3!
It sure is cold out here too! Hopefully the snow will be minimal and melt by the time you need to be out and about.
I really like Cythere, just the right amount of nuttiness
Yup ā we got about 1ā overnight (after yesterdayās inch fell, melted, and re-fell). Cold. But I kee
ā¦keep reminding myself it is STILL March, vernal equinox or not.
Iām so glad you have the day off just in time for the snowstorm! I havenāt smelled your scent but itās on my list to try – what are your thoughts?
I like it a lot. Immediately ordered a travel spray after trying a sample, which is rare for me. The reviews on fragrantica are all over the place. For me it opens with a blast of lemon, which I love, then settles into what is the pistachio I guess. A soft woody scent that wears close to the skin. If you like Jour dā Hermes and Eau des Merveilles, I would definitely try it. Itās in that Hermes style of soft, pretty and easy to wear.
Glad to hear that you won’t be driving in the inclement weather tomorrow.
I am going to be the weirdo that is envious of everyone else’s snow.
Day 2 of the packing job, wearing Rose ChƩrie to boost morale and look forward to this time next week when it will all be over and I can relax.
You smell beautiful!
Sending you lots of packing energy!
Good luck with the packing! Will you be driving across or flying?
I am flying and my husband will be driving next month, after the weather improves. š
Sending good wishes for all the packing you have to do. I don’t know Rose ChĆ©rie but bet you smell lovely.
Sending you good packing vibes.
Thanks! I think Iām pretty much done, just down to the last few little details. The perfume box is too heavy to lift. :-0
Yuck. I am amazed that you can pack up twice a year!
Sending you “good packing” vibes! I hope it’s an easy next few days until you arrive back home.
A sunny but chilly day today! I am in Nez Ambre a Levres, it’s so good and wearable. Makeupy floral + amber that veers just sweet enough to remind me of candied violets. Not much left of this little bottle, I’ll have to enjoy the rest.
I wish they had sold that in bigger bottles, itās so good!
Wear the pretty and long-lasting Oud Bouquet.
Rats, didn’t mean to be imperative! You are happy to join me if the weather suits in your area…
š
LOL!
Wearing SL Vetiver Oriental on a blustery day. In honor of National Poetry Day, I picked a (short) favorite from one of the OG poets, Wallace Stevens. It came to the forefront of my mind a couple of days ago as I watched a pair of Bald Eagles perched high up in a Sitka Spruce. One lifted off to fly in ever widening circles above the confluence of the Columbia and the Pacific until it disappeared. The one left in the tree had its yellow eye trained on the Baby T-Rexā¦š¦
Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird
BY WALLACE STEVENS
I
Among twenty snowy mountains,
The only moving thing
Was the eye of the blackbird.
II
I was of three minds,
Like a tree
In which there are three blackbirds.
III
The blackbird whirled in the autumn winds.
It was a small part of the pantomime.
IV
A man and a woman
Are one.
A man and a woman and a blackbird
Are one.
V
I do not know which to prefer,
The beauty of inflections
Or the beauty of innuendoes,
The blackbird whistling
Or just after.
VI
Icicles filled the long window
With barbaric glass.
The shadow of the blackbird
Crossed it, to and fro.
The mood
Traced in the shadow
An indecipherable cause.
VII
O thin men of Haddam,
Why do you imagine golden birds?
Do you not see how the blackbird
Walks around the feet
Of the women about you?
VIII
I know noble accents
And lucid, inescapable rhythms;
But I know, too,
That the blackbird is involved
In what I know.
IX
When the blackbird flew out of sight,
It marked the edge
Of one of many circles.
X
At the sight of blackbirds
Flying in a green light,
Even the bawds of euphony
Would cry out sharply.
XI
He rode over Connecticut
In a glass coach.
Once, a fear pierced him,
In that he mistook
The shadow of his equipage
For blackbirds.
XII
The river is moving.
The blackbird must be flying.
XIII
It was evening all afternoon.
It was snowing
And it was going to snow.
The blackbird sat
In the cedar-limbs.
Nice poem! I bet baby T-Rex š¦ is tasty š¤£. JK. Hopefully she appreciates your watchfulness.
Thank you Deva, you always know interesting poems.
Thanks, Deva. That is a beautiful poem.
Oh, I love that poem! Thanks for bringing it to the front of my mind today.
Glad that T-Rex didn’t become an eagle’s snack!
I caved to the lure of 10% off at Luckyscent and bought two travel sized bottles (packaged as a set) of Bombay Bling. It appears from Neela Vermeire’s website that the travel sizes are no longer available and I didn’t need a big 60ml bottle. Now the only thing I’m waiting for is for the travel-sized Cherry Smoke to be released. So I’m wearing Bombay Bling today, I have about 3 mls left.
It’s cloudy with a chance of showers today and 15 degrees colder than yesterday. I might have soup for dinner.
You chose well! I think Bombay Bling might be my favorite from Neela Vermeire, it’s such a fun and happy fragrance.
So tempted by the Luckyscent code, since it’s my birthday this weekend and my last credit card bill was unusually low. Ha! I will take a look later today when I’m done with work. I definitely have some discovery sets and samples on my wishlist.
SOTD is Teo Cabanel Encore, a peach schnapps-y iris.
Happy upcoming birthday, I’m sure something from Luckyscent will be appropriate š
Happy Birthday in advance!
Happy birthday in advance. I’m sure you deserve some purchases.
Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday to you – I bet you can find a little something š
Happy soon-birthday!
Enjoy your upcoming birthday! Do tell what you decide to get to mark the occasion.
Happy upcoming Birthday!
Happy (early) birthday tulipani!
I’ve been looking at that Luckyscent 10%, and looking at my list of future purchases. I think I’ll be restrained at the moment, I’ve spent a lot recently on all sorts of things, including perfume.
I’m wearing Neela Vermeire Trayee today, another one that’s great for any season. I don’t want to get into anything too autumnal just yet.
Sounds like looking at that 10% is the activity of the day around here š
I need 2 new pairs of eyeglasses, among other things, so not even going to look.
SOTD = April Aromatics Lotus Rising
Love this one too! š

I know weāve talked about tipping previously. Perhaps this had happened before but itās the first time Iāve seen it for myself. I ordered two things at a point-of-sale kiosk. I remembered the last time I went to this place in January that I forgot to tip so I am more hyper-aware of looking at the receipt before I hit pay. Would you believe that this place now automatically adds $1 for tip? See, I would have given at least $1.50 more given that the pre-tax amount was $17.20 but since that choice was taken out of my hands, I let it go. The screen did not have an option to pay a different amount so at the end of the day, the tip came out to less than what I normally would give. š¤·š»āāļø No harm done except for the workers. I know this sounds callous but sometimes an effort to help ends up blowing back to the business.
Oh yeah, I forgot to confess ā I bought a large sample (13 mL) of the new Diane St. Clair perfume Blue Marble so I broke my No Buy but I am still in the running for Low Buy š
Confession is good for the soul! I havenāt sniffed anything from St Clair although I know that house gets a lot of love here. I may have to check out the websiteā¦I just saw yesterday that Liz Moores of Papillon Perfumes is coming out with a new one in August. It sounds right up my alley so Iām saving my pennies for that splurge if it happens to toot my horn. Just when I say I have no intention of buying more perfumeā¦š¬
Aha, I was wondering when she was coming out of hibernation!
I hadnāt heard of that scent so I just looked it up. What a gorgeous inspiration for a perfume! Please let us know what you think of it when you get it.
I sure will!
You always have interesting remarks on day to day life, it keeps me informed of what is going on in Americaš
The tipping culture seems to have gotten more rampant across the board!
I never leave a tip this way because I am skeptical as to where it actually goes. Most likely NOT to the person I want it to go to. More likely itās going into the owners pocket who claims to ādivvy it up fairly.ā Iām not tipping anyone unless I can hand them some cash directly. Last time I had a haircut I forgot to tip completely, called them later that day to apologize and tell her I would run by with a tip but was told by the owner (who answered the phone) they donāt take cash! Even for a tip! Said I had to put it on my card, and then kindly notified me that they are charged by the credit card company and I would need to leave a larger tip to cover that! I said āNevermind.ā Buh-bye!
I wonder who is making these business decisions and whether they are doing any focus group testing. I for one would not return to a place which had mandatory tipping.
Instant gratification ā¦
I am with cazaubon on the mandatory tips.
And now for something different. Have you tried the new Starbucks beverages with lavender yet?
I donāt mind lavender scents. Donāt want to eat it, though. Will be curious how this does! Hadnāt heard of these drinks.
Same here with preferring to smell lavender than drinking it. Weāll see though ā¦ Iāve tried some of the weirder drinks, although I havenāt had the urge to try the olive oil ones.
Trueā¦
I was really tempted with the lavender drinks but a part of me thinks it will taste soapy š
I canāt imagine that they would be a hit, but Iāve been wrong many times before. I love the look of lavender in bloom but Iām not a fan it the smell in perfumes, cleaning products, or room sprays. I agree with H that I think it would taste soapy, or worse, floral.
Today was less warm, 15C and cloudier. I had oatmeal with almond milk for dinner, a fancy mix with seeds and nuts and prebiotics, whatever it’s made of it was delicious. It was Ma Griffe parfum de toilette today and I was reminded of how distinctive it is, a green gardenia essentially, it is discontinued but vintage Ma Griffe is plentiful and keeps very well, I also have the extrait but wanted the lighter PDT for spring. I think only Lillyjo wears it too but I recommend it to everyone, you’ll wonder why you bother with new releases. Tonight it’s vintage Paloma Picasso, I admire it so much but don’t use it often because it always ends up wearing me. I have a little 30ml which is plenty.
Smelling great Aurora!
New releases are still fun but for the most part, not very satisfying for me. Paloma Picasso is really a 1 spray perfume. A little goes a very long way! I bet the body products were great though. I never tried them.
Thank you Lillyjo, we both love it. Yes, you’re right, still fun but occasionally new releases are a horrible experience to smell.
Aurora, a lot of them don’t even smell like perfume. They just smell.
YOU are smelling wonderful! I smelled vintage Ma Griffe soon after I fell down the rabbit hole, and it just made me swoon. Two of my earliest, bargain, vintage, perfume lot purchases via Ebay had Paloma Picasso and the Ma Griffe mini. I’m enjoying a new release today, but you speak for me and explain why I’ve been such a vintage hound.
Oh, what a coincidence that you got both Ma Griffe and PP and I wore them both today! MG is indeed swoon-worthy. Yes, I’ve noticed that like me you have quite a collection of vintage classics. I bought many several years ago when prices were attractive and discovered gems but am now on a low buy.
Your Ss’otD sure did bring back memories: only later did I appreciate that lot, which had partial bottles of vintage Paloma Picasso, Norell, Je Reviens, Opium Bath Silk, and Shalimar edc for about $10 each! I think that purchase did more to “tune” my nose than sniffing many current perfumes!
15 degrees C is not bad at all for March weather!
Did my cleaning while wearing Lyric. Since I have showered, I am in no 5 edp. I ordered the travel spray of BDK Tuberose Imperial. Full bottles of anything are out of the question for the near future. October is probably going to be the soonest for full bottles. I am starting to go through some scary financial stuff right now.
Yikes, Dawn, best of luck to you with the finances. Thatās a particularly brutal stress area.
Financial stuff IS scary. Hope you can work it all out.
I hope you can stay ahead of the money scaries! There may be resources in your town or maybe at your credit union or bank to help you plan, in case you need something like that.
Oy vey. Financial stuff is scary.
Hope it will get better.
Prada Infusion dāIris again, for the same reasons as yesterday ā several hours with a group of people in close-ish quarters. Cold, snowy, damp weather here today. Had a massage therapy appointment after the morning work session; itās amazing how many different parts of my body can be ridiculously tight.
Your post reminds me that I saw both Infusion d’Iris and Infusion d’Gingembre on Sephora’s website yesterday evening. I know a few NSTers were interested in the Gingembre…
Oh, and Sephora’s spring event is coming up next month, too! The
Annnd I just looked on the website to see if they have a travel size and they DO! 10ml spray which is perfect for me but already SOLD OUT! š¢
Colonoscopy done and I don’t need to return for 5 years. Yay! So pleased to have that over. One thing about being retired is that I don’t have as many distractions — which is both great and sometimes a little difficult. It’s easier to have more time to spend on things that are important to me, but it’s also easier to focus on small worries and nervousness over appointments and procedures. I’m going to figure out a way to remedy that in my life.
Wearing Ormonde Woman now that I’m home and planning to read and doze on the couch for a bit after I eat.
I found that the scary stories about colonoscopy prep and the procedure were overblown. I’m glad you’re good for five years until the next!
Happy to hear you got a good bill of health from that!
Great news and peace of mind, have some fun now.
Thanks, all.
So glad it’s behind you and you’re smelling wonderful!
āBehind meā ahaha!
Thank you!
SotD Guidance. My impression of it is that it has *great* performance for a modern gourmand light profile. Being a fruity-chypre, powder-loving and animalic-base kind of person, it is way out of my usual territory. But I keep returning to my sample and wondering if I might need a bottle. Since Amouage made much of Quentin Bisch joining the team, I checked him out on Fragrantica. I think of his work as having clean base notes and airy sillage, which to me is modern. He has found a way to my heart with his style and I love several of his creation besides Angel Muse. AM is not quite in the same style, though, to me. Happy Friday Eve! I am behind on comments but I’ve tried to pop in and lurk some.
Guidance seems to be a love it or hate it perfume.
It does not compare to some of the best-loved Amouages (for me, Myths and Opus III), but it is a good contrast. I say: don’t write it off too soon, and for sure give it a try.
Angel Muse must have had a brief because itās not his usual style, as youāve said.
Glad to know you think that too! And, excellent point about the brief. Yay, that he followed the brief, for those of us who love Muse.
My SOTD is LāOriginal by Andree Putman. I love its bitter fancy hotel vibe, because one of my great loves in life is the lobbies of fancy hotels.
Itās a lovely sunny day, and my dog is dead asleep in a sunbeam with all four legs in the air. Iām working on being able to enjoy the moment the way she can. She is the definition of āpresentā.
That luckyscent code is awfully tempting. It may be time to do some window shoppingā¦
Teflon kitty was sleeping in a sunbeam next to my bed this morning. She’s definitely a fan of the warmer weather!
Nice – we don’t hear enough about Andree Putman L’Original. I remember really liking it. And it’s another wonderful Olivia G creation, isn’t it?
I’m in Mugler Supra Floral today. I love the scent, but unfortunately it falls in the sinus irritant/headache category today. But I was already having a right sinus day. Luckily, it’s not bothering me any longer since I’m in the far down now.
Ugh, sorry to hear about your perfume misbehaving today.
Thanks! I think it’s my stupid nose more than anything.
Get well soon.
Thanks, Aurora.
I’m in the herbal citrus masterpiece that is Goutal’s Eau du Sud today and it always knocks me flat how it manages a crisp cologne vibe while lasting for hours, having way better longevity than its step-sibling Eau d”Hadrian. My bottle is an old one that still contains oakmoss, (no longer used thx to IFRA) and vetiver to anchor it better to skin. I usually reach for it more when the L.A. temperatures approach triple digits, but its cheerful heat-quenching blast called out to me today as I hadn’t worn it for a long time. I must keep it handy as the weather warms.
I’ve always been a little afraid of the warm spices in Eau du sud but glad that you’re enjoying it.
The original was so wonderful! I do miss that fizzle of oakmoss.
Livestreamed some video of the Big J leaving her pier to head down the Delaware River towards an eventual date with the dry dock earlier today. The USS New Jersey is the only Iowa-class battleship that I have scented, LOL. (If anyone is curious about my choice, it was SL Sarrasins. )
Yesterday I seemed to have picked up CM8’s perfume stutter. For some reason I had a few double comments. Weird how that happens.
SOTD = Balenciaga Rosabotanica. The packaging and bottle are serious bottle pr0n. The scent is actually pretty nice, too: an unusual pairing of fig leaf, cardamom, grapefruit and green rose. There’s a light amber note that joins the rose for the drydown. Glad I got it and its perfume sibling back in the day!
Oh, what an interesting scent combo. Iām a sucker for a cardamom note.
The grapefruit and cardamom notes are gone in a flash, like any good topnote. Mostly what I smell is fig leaf, rose, and amber.
Rosabotantica is long discontinued. I think it was only around for a year or two back in the mid 2010’s.
Cāest la vie! One less thing to covet. I am endeavoring to stay away from discontinued and vintage.
That’s a total unicorn now. Gorgeous bottle.
I’m surprised none of the Prada perfumes of that era are around anymore. They were better than some of the dreck being sold now.
I may have inherited a tester bottle ā¦
Either my bottle has matured nicely, or it smells better out here in CO than it did in NJ. Maybe a bit of both?
I love that you scented the USS New Jersey and that you chose Sarrasins!
Whoops. Meant for Jalapeno, above.
Heh. Sarrasins had an amazing synergy with the smell of the interior of the battleship, especially the area near the machine shop.
I wore O de Lancome today. I usually save this scent for the heat of summer but it stood by me all day. Possibly a bonus of wearing it in a different season.
Nice!
Checking in from work. My sotd is Miss Dior Le Parfum. It’s still winter here, and I am a little grumpy about it. A lot of snow heading my way. Good thing I didn’t put away the snow brush.
A snow brush? š¤£
Ooooh, that reminds me I should get a snow brush for my car. Don’t have one yet, just an ice scraper.
Very late posting in Violet’s Cycle 002. I’m disappointed because after brief but interesting and promising top notes, the Ambroxan kicked in. Oh well, money saved.
You are always in something interesting!
š
Late post! Commando most of the day, I keep forgetting to scent up before logging on to work.
Scent of the evening: Silences. Iāll grant myself CP points for it.
I succumbed to the 10% off Luckyscent code, slightly in violation of my no buy rules, but the ability to choose 4 samples equated to the additional 10% off Iād have needed to meet my original āpermissible rule breakingā parameters. My rationalization game is strong. Harvest Mouse is on its way.
