We're marking the last weekend of February with our standard issue open thread poll.
Talk about anything you like — the fragrance you’re wearing today, the fragrance you'll put away when the seasons change (24 days to go!), whatever.
Or, ask a question about fragrance, then see if anyone else has asked a question that you can answer…

Wearing Eau Premiere today and leaving for work soon. I am hoping for an easier day today than yesterday. If it isn’t, I am off tomorrow and Monday.
Smelling good. Enjoy your time off.
Good luck for your workday, Dawn! You will smell great, no matter what.
Hope it went well!
Today I’m in SL Gris clair…., which mostly smells like lavender and smoke (which is to say the ashes of lavender, I guess). Is it his simplest creation? I think it might be, but I really like it.
I, too, really like it. Maybe I will wear it today! Thanks for the inspiration. (And you smell wonderful.)
Happy birthday to me!
I just turned 34 and I hope that this year will be much better, maybe with new job at Givaudan and hopefully with a better love life 😅
For the occasion I smell of my birthday self-gift, Iris Shot.

Happy birthday, Lucas! All best wishes for the year to come.
Happy Scented Birthday, a day late! 🎉🎁🎂
Hope that this year is much better for you, and you see wonderful new beginnings in it.
I’m wearing Philtre from my new bottle. More shoe shopping today since I had no luck on Wednesday, and I should probably do some yard work too. Have a lovely weekend, everyone!
A quick book recommendation (well, two): The Art Thief, by Michael Finkel, about a man who stole an estimated 2 billion dollars’ worth of artwork from mostly regional museums in Europe in the late 1990’s. He lived with his girlfriend in his mother’s attic and displayed the art there. He never sold a single piece. Michael Finkel also wrote a book about a man who lived in the Maine woods for almost 30 years, breaking into vacation cabins for food and reading material, called The Stranger in the Woods.
Just read the Art Thief–amazing story, so bizarre yet true!!
I liked the color pictures of what he stole; text descriptions of art never match what I see in my head, so pictures help a great deal.
Thanks for coming for a visit to NZ yesterday. There’s been a lot in news this week about the introduction of eftpos machines ( probably called debit card machines/ terminals in USA) with a “ tipping “ function. The screen pops up before payment with options from 5% to 25% ( or something) for tips. There is a 0% option. The response has been largely negative, as tipping is not seen as being ‘ part of our culture’ ( it’s regarded as foreign/ American) and very few people want it to become standard practice in taxis, cafes, hairdressers, restaurants etc. It’s been quite interesting as it’s one of those classic ‘ this is not who we are” vs. ‘ the rest of the world does it , so why not us’ arguments. Personally, I tip if I feel like it ( for good service ) and am unlikely to feel pressured by a machine., and can live with discomfort. Wearing Shalimar.
That is happening here in the United States. I usually select no and then tip what I want if I think it is appropriate.
You smell wonderful!
Yesterday at lunch a colleague who spent a semester in Auckland last year mentioned that a typical NZ burger is served with red beets and a fried egg on top. Yes? (We both had beets on our plates.) I am going to try it at home. (Love beets. Love burgers. And a fried egg is a fine garnish, IMO.)
When I was a kid you would buy burgers at a fish’n’chip shop and they would usually be lettuce, tomato, tinned sliced beetroot , meat pattie and sauce with cheese or egg or bacon as optional extras. Those were the kind of traditional burgers. Now, they are much fancier and you can get anything you want from burger joints: venison, beetroot patties, lamb, chicken…etc.etc. Beetroot is still standard on most burgers, but egg not so much.
Ughhhh. I hate this. People should be paid a living wage. The places I’ve heard of tip prompts showing up at checkout (here in the US)— well, it’s gotten ridiculous.
I agree the new tipping prompts on credit card readers is annoying and I’m sorry it has come to NZ. Makes me want to only use cash.
Yes, it’s gotten out of hand on POS machines here in the last couple of years, with more places where you never had to tip before having the screen, and with the lowest amount being 18% (15% was standard until 2020?). Even the liquor store now has a tip screen pop up…what would I tip them for? I walk in, grab a bottle of wine, and go.
That said, I was just down in the States and the restaurants don’t seem to have the handheld POS machines at all. I still had to hand over a physical credit card which they took away, ran, and came back with a slip to sign. Sign! So weird. (We’ve had PIN here for so long now that the signature thing feels like a real relic.)
I’m reading from bottom up and read POS machine very different than you meant. Lol.
Point of Sale.. took me a minute.
😀
I snickered a bit about that, because yes, I have thought PoS can definitely mean more than one thing!
And in this case, it does. 🤬
Yes…the lowest amount is often more than I want to pay just to pick something up at a counter!
I like those POS tip options, at least for food service. I usually leave some tip in the places I go regularly if service is good, even if I am picking up. I want places to stay in business – so many have closed. I know I can’t change the living wage problem but paying an extra dollar for the people who make my sandwich is acceptable for me and I like that the tip goes to the worker. I may be even more likely to tip if the food is less expensive.
I really like when sit-down restaurants have precalculated tip options – saves me a little math.
Thanks for the book recommendation. I watched a film the other day ( Netflix maybe) with Guy Pearce as a Dutch art forger during WW2. You might like it. The Last Vermeer.

For Foxbins
Thanks!
SOTD is ELdO Eau De Protection.
Beautiful day here in the Midwest. It seems like spring, but it sounds like next week we have a shot of rain/snow mix again. I am afraid winter is not over quite yet.
Oh, and I forgot, when spring comes along ALL of my fragrances out now will go back into hiding. I have a group that come out for fall/winter and another group for spring/summer. Then I have a group that I just use occasionally so keep those out of reach.
It’s a sunny, gorgeous day here in upper Midwest but definitely not spring…25 degrees right now. Tomorrow will be warmer.
We are at 51 degrees in South Dakota.
Wow, that’s shorts weather in Canada!
You smelled wonderful yesterday.
Any Red Flag Warnings in your area due to the warm temps?
I think there was a fire warning yesterday. Tomorrow it is going to be 67 and then on Tuesday snow and 40.
SOTD = Diptyque Kyoto
Diptyque Le Grand Tour Kyoto – as I described it on Insta, it’s a fruity woody earthy vegetal incensy and lightly floral blend, punctuation marks optional 🤣. I love this and it goes into the why don’t I wear it more often category.

The Wall Street Journal had an article this week about etiquette for using technology while in a meeting or otherwise more public spaces. One no-no with which I am familiar is if you’re riding in a bus or train, don’t watch TikTok or Instagram stories at full volume. Seriously, this should be a no-brainer, just like Employees Must Wash Hands signs in public restrooms.
I am going to a friends get-together and need to think of what to bring. Do you have tried and true edible hostess gifts so you’re not stuck buying something last minute?
I always like a bottle of Prosecco….it goes with everything from appetizers to dessert. For something not alcoholic, I like good, plain chocolate (no nuts, in case of allergies)…something that is individually wrapped like Lindt. What’s good about both of these things is that your hostess can choose to serve it or save it for another occasion.
Great ideas. These are things I can consume myself if they don’t get gifted. Thanks!
I like to give a jar of spiced nuts: lightly roast any kind of nuts in a mixture of sugar, cinnamon, salt, and egg white.
I think the etiquette should be watching in public at NO volume. Headphones, people, please.
Re: edible hostess gifts:: I second Jepster’s ideas. Also, a fancy chutney or savory jam (like balsamic onion, something with garlic, hot pepper jelly). These make for quick and easy appetizers when served with crackers or bread and goat cheese or cream cheese. Even if your host(ess) doesn’t like the flavor, they’re great to have on hand for future events.
If they do cocktails, a bottle of interesting bitters or really nice cocktail cherries.
Not edible, but a consumable: fancy cocktail napkins or those disposable guest towels for the bathroom. The ones with pretty patterns. If you feel like you know their vibe well enough.
That is probably Diptyque’s prettiest bottle.
In the past, I have brought either microbrew beer, hard cider, or mead as a host/hostess gift. But these were for people I definitely knew would enjoy said items.
A non-alcoholic option would be varietal honey, preferably local. But that doesn’t work for vegans.
The sun is gone. More dreary weather. On Monday, temps are supposed to drop and they’re predicting 4 days of snow. I’m as prepared as I can get, just emptied my tanks and filled up on fresh water and propane yesterday. I’ve been parked up at a local park that lacks “No Overnight” parking signs with one or two other regulars.
Only a matter of time before signs go up but by then I’ll be long gone. We are quiet and unproblematic, moving out during the day. One van has a legendary solar set, the panels of which can be lifted on one side so the angle can better capture the suns rays. I have never seen the owner. I just know someone in there is alive because of the lifting and lowering of his panels, which stretches across the entire roof. There’s an investment in that system I can guarantee! 💰💵
I’m wearing the OG Onda VdE by Vero Kern today. I love this perfume like no other. I get lots of smokey honey after being dripped over a warm, naked body. Yep, just like that. So good! The Vetiver gently nods and wakes up, all bleary eyed and full of lassitude. I can’t identify anything else. But the drowsy dry down makes me want to put my feet up, hunker down in my flannel shirt and watch the world go by, immersed if a bubble of warm honey, grasses, and gentle flowers just opening their petals to the sun. I’m so lucky I was able to buy a bottle.
The book I mentioned yesterday continues to thrill me with its language and ideas. There are 12 chapters that are loosely linked to the months on a calendar. I have decided I will listen to a single chapter each night while I’m wide awake and fall asleep thinking about it.
I lead a very little life and I’m quite happy about it.
I was going to ask if the chapters are one per month and just realized that it would take you a whole year! I should look up the book!
Good luck with the snow, Deva, and hopefully whomever is in charge of that park is busy elsewhere 🙂
I commented a few years ago that I thought living a small life is a good thing.
Shalimar MT for me today. Gorgeous sun and cold temps here. About to start vacuuming. I woke up about 7:30 but drank my coffee and ate a fresh scone while reading in bed until about 11 am. Binge watched the series Karen Pirie and enjoyed it, although I had an inkling of the culprit.
Dug out some silver earrings I’ve had for a long time and never wear. They’re angular and have about a 2” drop. Cleaned them up and put them on. I never noticed before, but my piercings are not aligned, so one earring hangs slightly longer. Made me laugh. Self-piercing earrings inserted by a middle school girl are not terribly accurate.
My sister had her ear piercings done at the mall. Her ear lobes are tiny to begin with. Her piercings are not aligned either.
Mine either!
My mother made me wait until I was 16 before she would let me have my ears pierced, and even then she took me to a doctor to have them done. I was so freaked out (he used something like a staple gun loaded with stainless steel studs) that I fainted in the elevator as we were leaving and woke up back in the doctor’s examining room. 😂 And even with all that “professional” attention my piercings aren’t level!
I had a very similar experience. I was 14, I think, and my mother took me to a nurse. I almost fainted afterwards. I’ve had more done, and a tattoo. Same thing every time. I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m a fainter. Some people just are.
I had my ears pierced on my 13th birthday at a mall boutique. The person there tried her best to get them level.
Happy Saturday, everyone. Gray skies here in Los Angeles, and it’s cool outside. I know I’ll long for a day like this come September, but right now I could really use some sunshine.
SOTD is Calvin Klein Obsession For Men. My bottle is from the 90s, and it’s warm, spicy, and musky, with a hint of sweetness.
It definitely imparts some of that potent sexual intimacy of Akro’s “Night,” but it stays clear of “Night’s” overpowering cumin note, and is much easier to wear.
For my SOTN, I’ll switch to the women’s version.😊
Same! I am looking forward to complaining about the heat…
😂 Right on!
My reactions to the men’s and women’s versions were polar opposites. I love the women’s version. Would love to smell this one on a guy!
The women’s version is indeed wonderful! And I think it works great on a man – I love wearing it.
Cool and partly cloudy here today. Zoom failed so no yoga class this morning, they offered me a free sauna instead so I thought, why not? Need to dig out my swim suit, hope I have one that fits, it’s been years since I wore one as I never swim. Wearing a few small sprays of a sample of Philtre.
I finally donated my swimsuit after not wearing it for years. I don’t even like the water. Lol.
You can always sauna in cotton shorts & a t-shirt, that is what I do! Swimsuit does not feel good to me at that temp.
Pears and yogurt smoothie
Kenzo Flower l’élixir today, a lot of raspberry in it which is fine, I like it and tonight Avon Timeless. a really good chypre, my bottle is old but the scent is, well, timeless.
I always liked the L’elixer.
Good morning from Wellington, I’m back home for what seems the first time in ages. Now I’ve got a few days to catch my breath, and we’re off to Sydney for my beloved’s birthday. February has been a crazy month!
I’m planning to try my sample of Philtre again post-shower. I get honey and carnation, it’s very nice, but it hasn’t really grabbed me so far.
Enjoy your few days of peace, and hope you guys will have a lovely trip to Sydney — happy birthday to Mr. Gaynor!
Perfect sunny winter day here. A nearby village hosted a Soup Stroll – walk up and down Main Street and sample soups from local restaurants. I tried the lobster bisque, chicken pho, and African peanut, all delicious. I wore Dryad.
Does anyone remember the brand Red Flower? Surfing Macy’s site, I found the Cardamom Amber body oil, which I used to use years ago.
Soup Stroll sounds amazing and needs to be replicated in every town EVERYWHERE.
Signed, SoupFan
Right?! It was so popular they were running out of soup!
Rainy day here, and I’m in Tauer Nexin. I agree with Hajusuuri’s take the other day that the floral side is coming out a bit. Haven’t been sleeping much because the cold I had, which I thought was quite mild and going away, is back with a vengeance and I’m wheezing / crackling all night unless I lay on one side of my body. Ugh. I saw French onion soup in Smitten Kitchen’s IG feed this morning, and that’s what I’ve decided I need tonight.
OMG. You just sparked an onion soup craving here. Ok, now I have plans for Sunday night.
Wearing Narciso Rodriguez Jasmine Musc today.
Does anyone daydream about perfume when doing boring/mundane things like…I don’t know…listening to work meetings? 😆 I was on a meeting yesterday afternoon and realized there were many background thoughts passing through my mind head such as…
1. Will lillyjo like the new Alien flanker?
2. When will department stores get the new Miss Dior Parfum? Why do I even care when the reviews have been bad?
3. Many of the fragrances listed under FragranceBuy’s Rare Gems section are neither rare nor gems.
4. I definitely want to try Comète but really hope I don’t like it b/c the les Exclusifs prices are more obscene than ever and I could spend that on multiple other bottles of perfume.
5. Who gets to think up all the new Zara perfume collections? That must be a fun job. Maybe it’s a couple people…they have so damn many releases…
All of you, my Friends in Fragrance, can appreciate that even when not actively reading and researching perfume…I default to daydreaming about it. 🤔 💭 ❤️
1. LOL 🤣
It’s doubtful
2. Interesting.. I have seen positive reviews. I bet the department stores get it in for Mother’s day.
3. You are so correct about the “rare gems’ its mostly clones and “poseur niche”
4. Tell me about Jasmin Musc!?
I was curious about Jasmin Musc as well.
😂 I’ll have to pay more attention to my random perfume musings.
I share your feelings about Comete.
I’m with you on no. 3. I am so over Fragbuy. I will sniff Comète but I don’t like the name and I definitely don’t like their prices. Fortunately I dislike nearly all Chanels and I’m on an indefinite no buy. 🙂
Which Chanels do you like?
The only ones I have are Coco and Coco Noir, which I wear very occasionally. I have a bottle of No. 19 Poudré that I’ve never worn, don’t know what possessed me to buy that. I had Misia, Coromandel and Rue Cambon but sold or gave them all away. I think the base just doesn’t agree with me. I’ve always been more of a Dior/Guerlain girl.
I am so done with winter. The cold and wind has seriously overstayed its welcome. Just go away already.
Wearing Burberry Body. I vaguely remember a conversation about Burberry and its sisters a week or so back; I believe the consensus was, not too terribly impressed. I myself would have been more impressed if it had stuck around on my skin for awhile.
Body did not work for me so I did not want it to stick around 🙂
IIRC, Burberry Body was a big NOPE for me.
So of course, I have like 3 or 4 samples of it in the Sample Stash.
Wearing Grandiflora Saskia. We’ve finally finished the perfume “fort” and I’m slowly moving the perfume off of the dining room table and into its new climate controlled home. Now I just have to pick up all of my clothes off of the bedroom floor and hang it all back up. I took a break to eat tortilla chips😋
Oohh… exciting! I wish there was a picture.
I am also eating tortilla chips! Lol.
Climate-controlled perfume storage? I must have missed the day this was discussed. Would love to know more.
I’ve thought about getting a mini-fridge for my closet, but: 1) Is that too extra? Time to admit I have a problem? 😂 2) No electrical outlets.
I don’t think that’s too much. I *do* have an admitted problem over here. I bought an extra fridge for my vintage and BUBs. 😮 Plus overflow from upstairs, of course.
I lost too many bottles over the course of several moves and too-warm storage. Didn’t want to go through that again!
Glad I’m not alone in thinking about the fridge! Especially with the way perfume prices have gone insane.
Good point.
We installed a mini-split heat/cooling pump in my closet to keep the perfume closer to a constant/lower temp. Plus, it also provides some additional cooling upstairs, in our bedroom, etc.
We have a heat pump for the rest of the house and it definitely provides some cooling but not enough to keep my closet cool in the summer months, especially with the warmer temps we’ve been having in the PNW.
I definitely have had the “is this a problem?” feeling but finally gave myself over to my love of fragrance and its cool new home😎
Makes sense! I currently live in an area of CA where it’s so hot, A/C is ubiquitous. (We hit the 115-120 range.)
But before I moved 2 years ago, I lived in an area where A/C was not the norm, so when we did have heat waves, it was more uncomfortable than where I am now.
That said, if I go in vacation, I don’t want to keep A/C going crazy just for the perfume. The mini-fridge may need to happen one day.
It will be great! Good for you. 👏🏻
😊
w00t w00t w00t for the completion of the Great Perfume Fort!
Working tonight. You should see the line. It’s crazy.
I’m wearing Angel’s Share. It’s cool today but we had sun.🌞
Hope it wasn’t too crazy at work, you smelled great.
Today has been a mix of Zoologist Cow, Chipmunk and Harvest Mouse.
Stayed up way too late last night watching Lioness (show streaming on Paramount+, featuring Zoey Saldana and Nicole Kidman). Watched 4 episodes in a row. Forgot I’d scheduled a training session late this morning (Saturday is not our usual day), so was not well-rested for the workout. Oh, well!
Oh, that show looks fun and I had not heard about it! You must like it if you binged that much 🙂
Highly recommend! I am holding off on watching more episodes until Friday, so I don’t stay up too late.
These days, I rarely find TV shows very captivating. I’ll start a new show, watch a few episodes, then forget about it until I run across it while scrolling weeks/months later. “Lioness” is not one of those!
Adding to my list! Don’t have Paramount+ at the moment but probably will again at some point.
Off this weekend. I am in a period of working every other weekend so the free weekends I am exhausted and have a list of household tasks that built up. I absolutely have to start getting the tax stuff together. But there is also vacuuming, groceries, cooking, etc. Weather is nice and hubby and I plan to go for walk in the park.
I am testing out White Linen Legacy EL which is ok but not full bottle worthy.
EL Legacy siblings today. I’m testing out Knowing Legacy.
I wore a very light dusting of Le Dix powder as an accompaniment to attending a baby shower yesterday, and this morning I’m basking in Cuir Cannage. And I’ve been stress-eating because of the inevitable wrangling with our insurance company. I know their job is to limit what they pay out but, while they delay and delay, my kitchen and living room are full of the salvageable things that were stored in the damaged garage and my laundry equipment is in the hallway being very unusable. Grrrrr!
Ugh. Good luck getting them to pay up!
yesterday an oud oil I got in Morocco-its a no name scent
Today 32 RC
Hope it was a good weekend ltsg!
I was kept awake by two hedgehogs going through a mating ritual that lasted for hours. There’s italics there for emphasis. They made a noise like a steam train ( chuff, chuff) , and circled around each other nose to nose. The moon was so bright it was easy to see them, and they didn’t notice when I shone a torch. Even the neighbours came out to see what the noise was. I lay in bed, waiting for them to get it over and done with ( like being in a hotel with thin walls) and then couldn’t sleep because I started thinking about their prickles, and how they “did it”. An owl joined in, later, hooting away. The moon shone through my window. Wearing Kiehl’s musk and listening to the birds. Happy Mondays.
That is hilarious! But I am sorry that you had to be awake for it.
I forget just how far ahead of us you are in time. Well, at the risk of being annoyingly positive, your Monday has a pretty good possibility of getting better!
OMG. You just infected me with the “So how DO hedgehogs mate?” brain worm.
This is a riot🤣
Another experience I will never have, and had not even imagined!
Yesterday I wore Hush Hush edt with a few sprays of the edp down my shirt. Today I’m in Lancome Iris Dragees. Still not done with winter here as there’s a snowstorm brewing up in the nearby mountains.
With all the recent Estee Lauder talk, I’ve got Knowing and Azuree on deck for the cooler weather this week. Have you guys seen the prices online for vintage bottles?
Can’t say that I’ve been looking for vintage EL lately. Trying to stay far away from perfume purchases right now!
I’m trying to avoid purchases too. Just for fun, I saw that vintage Azuree was going for $300-ish and more. The bottle I have is the same style. Think I paid around $30.00.
$300 for vintage Azuree?!? ACK!
So it’s become “The Precious”.
So ridiculous!
You can still get the current version st Macy’s for 69 dollars.
Today it’s Vol de Nuit EdT. My bottle of parfum has gone off quite a bit. Wah! I find it interesting that, of all my bottles that turned, most of them were Guerlains.
Oh, that is interesting. I have lost so many at this point it is hard to keep track of the brands.
Wearing SB Smoked Ambergris. Just dawned on me after spraying that this would have been a good fit for last weeks CP since NZ beaches, among a handful others, are where ambergris is most often found. Windy as all get out today. I feel bad weather brewing. 🌬️
Does the air smell like snow yet?
No, in fact I don’t think we’ll see snow. I’m right on the line between rain/frozen mix/snow, according to the weather map. It’s just very gusty and unpleasant. My heat hasn’t even kicked on today. The wind makes the camper shimmy and shake and upsets the dog, which then upsets me. First world problems, for sure.
I bought shoes yesterday in a color called “Eggnog” only to discover that when I wear them, I think Bertie Wooster (who is colored similarly) is underfoot. I spent last evening thinking I was going to trip over him as I caught the shoes in my peripheral vision. I will return them and get black ones. I have a black kitty, too, but she doesn’t twine around my feet. I’m wearing Infusion d’Iris Absolue today, and hoping for a dry spring. As if that could happen in the PNW.
That is too funny foxbins…tricked by your own shoes!
SOTD = Chanel 1932
So it’s a decant and I don’t know if it is the EDT or the EDP but whichever one it is, it smells good!

At the friends’ get-together yesterday, I was talking to a lawyer and he mentioned “mediator” as a possible “second career”. It sounds fascinating and I may just shell out the $$$$ tuition for a week’s worth of training. I’ll have to research further.
Only a week’s training required? Sounds interesting.
I was shocked actually when I compared the courses provided by Rutgers vs. New Jersey Law Center. This is 40 hours spread out over 5 days in a two-week period. There are other requirements but I feel like it is money well spent to understand a bit more of mediation and at the same time add to the qualifications.
That seems pretty interesting and possibly a good fit.
I know, right? I haven’t signed up yet but called earlier today. I was hoping to join the association due to the $295 discount on the course. I don’t belong to any of the categories.
I’m back from my trip to the sauna and a killer yoga class with a new teacher. I’m definitely going to be in pain tomorrow. Wearing Jardin de Macarons – what the heck is a garden of macaroons? It was a blind buy of course. Not as sweet as I would like but pleasant.
Garden of macaroons. Lol.
Everything sounds better in French.
Yay for yoga & sauna, my favorite combo 🙂
Near record high temperatures for me this weekend, plus gusty wind. I’ve been under a Red Flag Warning yesterday and today. It continues into tomorrow. The only thing that will probably put a stop to that will be some snow coming in on Tuesday.
Typical crazy Colorado weather.
SOTD = EL Legacy Knowing EdP, from the Sample Stash. This is much more rose forward than I remember the OG Knowing to be. Not getting any of the dark, witchy green notes of the original either. Meh.
TBH, if you want a dark rose perfume, there are more interesting picks than Knowing Legacy at much better price points.
Good to know about Legacy Knowing. I wondered what direction they took it in.
It isn’t bad. Just not interesting (to me).
What is a Red Flag Warning??
Per Wikipredia:
“A red flag warning is a forecast warning issued by the National Weather Service to inform the public, firefighters, and land management agencies that conditions are ideal for wildland fire combustion, and rapid spread.”
Put more simply, it’s letting everyone know that it’s a giant tinderbox out there.
And that should be “Wikipedia” up there. Fat-fingered the keyboard.
Here, red flag warnings are for it being too dangerous to be in the Lake due to high winds or tide issues.
It kind of sucks you have to deal with snow plus tinderbox situations.
A belated thank you! More things to worry about, sorry.
