It’s Friday, plus United Nations Public Service Day. (Plus, a few birthdays: Alan Turing, June Carter Cash, Frances McDormand.) It’s also National Let It Go Day. Our community project for today: wear a perfume that works in the way the day is intended…that is, that helps you let go of negative feelings from the past. OR, wear a perfume you’ve been hoarding, OR, thunk (use up) a bottle or sample, OR, come up with some other creative take on the theme of letting go.
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
I’m giving myself bonus points. On one arm, I’m wearing Gobin-Daudé Sous Le Buis, a perfume I adored, waited to buy at half price when the brand went out of business, then hoarded too long: it really does not smell so great anymore and I am throwing it out right now. On the other arm I’ve got Gobin-Daudé Sève Exquise, which is no longer in pristine condition but it does still smell lovely after it settles…I need to stop “saving it” and wear it more often…
