Wow, do I have questions. But, I realize the ad, the bottles, and the juices are not aimed at me by at least 50 years, so I guess I will skip the snark, except to say, when I was the age of those girls, the boys I went driving in cars with, liked it that I was wearing grownup perfumes surreptitiously spritzed from my mother’s and sometimes my grandmother’s bottles. It made them feel grownup and dangerous. If I had smelled like whipped cream and chocolate syrup, at least some of them would have wanted to go the the A&W…. Todays young women are facing obstacles I never encountered! LOL!
Is “go to the A&W” code for something? 😉
I don’t think I was ever the target market for these, but when I was the age of those girls, we all wore Rain or Jungle Juice body oils from a local bath/body products shop, so no points here for early sophistication. I do sometimes wonder, now that I’m a grown-up and go on grown-up dates and wear grown-up fragrances, if my vintage Shalimar and Tabac Blond inadvertently remind my dates of their grandmothers…
Back in the day, A & W had restaurants that were a hangout for teens. Kind of like Sonic.
A&W Rootbeer for that frosty mug taste 🙂
