Before he died last year at the age of 73, Mugler had a chance to smell the new fragrance in its early incarnation. “It was very emotional,” reveals perfumer Domitille Michalon-Bertier, who co-created the formula with Anne Flipo, of the designer’s encouraging reaction to the updated blend, which arrives in a dark blue version of the original five-pointed-star flacon. Mugler’s instincts seem to hold as much weight today as they did 30 years ago.

Of course I want to try this although I’m far from their target audience. That dark blue bottle!
I was surprised Muse didn’t make a bigger splash as the next gen Angel, but I guess it wasn’t necessarily meant to be that. Will certainly try this one when I see it.
Haven’t they already next-genned Angel a couple times already? I guess I missed the deeper meaning of its various flankers.
Yes! But it looks from the pr that they’re making a bigger effort for this one than they did with Muse, maybe.
And also, I could be wrong but I think this is the first one that claims no olfactive relationship to original Angel.
