Annick Goutal will launch Folie D’Un Soir, the fourth fragrance in the Oiseaux de Nuit* collection (see Tenue de Soirée, Nuit et Confidences and Étoile d'une Nuit).
This new fragrance takes the senses back to the madness of one night, when Annick decided to leave her life in France and start a new one in London. Where she became a model by accident. On her way to adulthood, she wanted to fly on her own wings away from music, towards a new destination and a new destiny: here she is, full of uncertainty but full of audacity, on her way to London to explore a new life. Coming as an Au Pair, she didn’t know that she would soon become a model, paving the way to Geraldine.
The notes for the spicy woods fragrance include pink pepper, rose, myrrh, incense, leather and cocoa.
Goutal Folie D’Un Soir is available for pre-order at Saks, $206 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum (April delivery).

* I assume it is part of this collection, but possibly I am wrong.
Update: I was wrong. It is part of this collection, but the collection is now called Les Parfums de Géraldine. "Four fragrances of character compose this collection, inspired by the exuberance and sass of Annick Goutal's modeling years. In the 1970s, she posed under the pseudonym of Géraldine, as illustrated by her modeling portfolio."
Another update: the description from Annick Goutal, where Folie D’Un Soir is also sold in 30 and 50 ml...
Some big decisions look like sudden impulses. Without knowing what fate had in store for her, the young Annick resolved to leave the nest in Paris to spread her own wings and fly in London. A woody spicy fragrance, Folie d’un Soir captures this decisive moment. The pink pepper suggests the spark that inspired her to take the gamble. A heart with a velvety note like a leather travel bag meets the rose. Meanwhile, myrrh and cocoa blow a deliciously addictive breeze over the skin.
I’m completely enamored with the puffball! The rose/leather/touch of cocoa is in my wheelhouse, I’d give it a sniff.
This one does sound appealing!
