French niche line Jovoy Paris has launched Fire At Will, a new gourmand fragrance…
Merry Go-Round the World
A holiday spot for Maison Francis Kurkdjian.
The daily lemming
I don't know about you, but I find there is a special sort of joy in looking at limited edition bottles I covet, so long as they hold juice I like but don't love, and as an added bonus they're already sold out so I don't have to waste time thinking about whether I should buy one. Here is Jean Paul Gaultier Classique, a scent I would probably never use up even if it was in 10 ml, in a 50 ml bottle, "dressed in a tulle printed with Dr. Woo's exclusive tattoos directly inspired by the Haute Couture 2021-22 Gaultier Paris by Sacai fashion show". I believe it came out this summer, and maybe you can still find one if you really want it, and if you're intrigued by the design, you can read about the Gaultier Paris by Sacai Fall/Winter 2021 Haute Couture collection here. (And this winter you can also find Classique and Le Male in holiday sweaters, here and here.)
Wednesday scent of the day 11/17
It’s Hump Day and International Students’ Day. What fragrance are you wearing?
I’m wearing Aedes de Venustas Oeillet Bengale.
Reminder: Early on 11/19 (some of us will be sleeping) we’ll see a Partial Lunar Eclipse of the Micro Beaver Moon…
Not knowing
Not knowing what to begin with was an asset, one of the many joys of being an outsider. I had no framework, which also meant I had no constraints. I wanted to create moments in time linked to memory or emotion, which may not have been possible if I had years of experience in an industry that often starts from a marketing approach to developing new products.
