Niche line Heeley has introduced Athenean, a unisex "reworking" of the brand's Eau de Figuier.
According to ancient Greek mythology, the first fig tree was created when the rebellious Sykeus was turned into the same by his mother, Gaia, Goddess of the Earth, saving him from the wrath of Zeus.
‘Athenean’ is a reworking of ‘Figuier’, one of the earlier scents in the collection. Here, the emphasis is on the fragrant wood of the fig tree. Aquatic green notes are balanced with warm, undertones of sandalwood, musk and amber.
♂ Tanned, dressed all in white, sandals, no sunglasses.
♀ Fashion girls out to lunch. Roquette salad and spring water.
Additional notes include green leaves, galbanum, white tea and melon.
Heeley Athenean is available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum, or in a travel spray coffret of 3 x 15 ml.

“Reworking” = nouveau Reformulation
And I spy melon ?
??
Melon AND galbanum! Ack. Definitely not for me.
Has anyone else noticed several newish fragrances in this category as of late? (Or maybe there have always been a lot and I just didn’t notice?!) Soft figgy sometimes coconutty, sandalwoody, musky fragrances (I really like them). Frapin If, Parle Moi de Parfum Milky Musk, BDK Gris Charnel, Une Nuit Nomade Nothing but Sea and Sky, maybe even JHAG Sunny Side Up and there are probably more.
Fashion girls need something to wear to lunch.
Hermética fig fever, diptyque Ilio, …
Also adding Olfactive Studio Lumiere Blanche
It’s the new woody-amber ?
Unless it had been re-imagined, Lumiere Blanche was actually in the first group of fragrances launched in the early twenty-teens. You are right though with your observations.
I love them, too. Perfect for the colder months.

-Hermes Un Jardin En Mediterranee (but this one has some cypress and juniper to liven it up)
