French niche line Divine has launched L'Esprit Libre, a new floral iris fragrance.
The clarity of a summer’s sky. A light breeze, green and mellow with bergamot and green mandarine, then suddenly when you’re least expecting it, a ray of peony and magnolia. At its heart, a blue twinkle of iris, talc and earth, with essence and butter of iris and a leisurely finale of musk and ambergris.
l’esprit libre, a perfume for liberty.
L'Esprit Libre was developed by perfumer Yann Vasnier; additional notes include coriander, violet leaves, ambrette seeds, cashmeran and cedar.
Divine L'Esprit Libre is available in 50, 100 and 200 ml splash with purse spray, or 5 ml roll-on, Eau de Parfum concentration.

It looks like a Serge Lutens bottle and a Chanel bottle had a baby.
Ha!
🙂
Ah, I have a sample of some other Divine perfume, a floral which smells very nice to me, but has that quality of wearing on and on to my hubby. I don’t know what that note is, but he notices it and complains.
So this iris forward scent, I would like to give it a sniff.
Iso e perhaps?
I really love some of their earlier scents, especially the first two Yann Vasnier scents for men — L’Homme Sage and L’Homme de Coeur.
Same here. I remember sniffing them for the first time at Takeshimaya. They had a great perfume department way back when, and everyone loved those long, curved couches where we could all sit at the end of a long Sniffapalooza day.
Takeshimaya! (Now playing in my brain: “Those were the days my friend, we thought they’d never end, we’d sing and dance, forever and a day . . .”)
I so loved its Manhattan store— but I was probably part of the problem. I could only afford the tea and cookies in the basement, so would mostly go there just to ogle.
