The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 28 July 2021 12 Comments

High on my want list at the moment: Heretic Parfum Osmanthus, a collaboration with the nonprofit botanic garden Ganna Walska Lotusland in California. "100% natural Osmanthus is a limited edition Lotusland X Heretic collaboration that blends bright citruses, creamy florals, and verdant grasses in a 10mL oil-based rollerball fragrance." With lemon peel, bergamot, orange leaves, osmanthus, jasmine and vetiver. $45 at Heretic or from the Lotusland shop.

Osmanthus was inspired by the Japanese Garden at Lotusland, and is also meant to honor Ganna Walska's own early 20th century perfume line. Douglas Little of Heretic Parfum introduces his work and the garden in the video below.

Wow, that’s the free-est thing I’ve seen all day. Very tempting.

      It is completely free-ish.

I am still figuring out shipping but I think it’s less or no shipping directly from the garden, free with $125 from Heretic.

When you really think about it, they’re basically paying us to buy this, right?

This is very tempting…even without vanilla. ;) I haven’t tried anything from Heretic yet. I hate rollerballs but might make an exception.?

Heretic does have a scent called “Dirty Vanilla” that may be worth sampling if you were to buy Osmanthus…just saying ?

As long as creamy floral do not mean gardenia…I am in lol

Speaking of osmanthus, Costco is offering the 3.4 oz size of Acqua di Parma’s 2018 Osmanthus EdP online. I like it a lot; very subtle but lovely. Practically a steal at less than half the retail price. This other osmanthus scent sounds great, too.
