It’s usually a mistake, trying to search for something that used to exist, because you’re never going to be able to re-create it. But I went to the grocery store and kept trying to find those soaps. My mom couldn’t remember, and there was a little bit of a loss there, because I know it’s sitting in my head somewhere. That’s what loss is like: never being able to get that thing again. And even if I found the soap, it’s not going to be the same. It’ll never be exactly what I’m looking for.
