Italian niche brand Carthusia has launched A'mmare, a new unisex fragrance.
The horizon is blue. Bergamot, sunny and bright, meets Rosemary. Aromatic, occasionally pungent. Salt is on the skin, crystallized. A plunge is refreshing, leaving room to what is new. Mint Leaves, green tender smoothness. Hidden energy. Now the vision is fulfilled, the horizon complete. Cedarwood and Guaiac, a precious forest, protect Patchouly and Musk incoming gifts from faraway lands. The magic of the tale is complete, all around. A'MMARE is its echo.
A'mmare was developed by perfumer Luca Maffei.
Carthusia A'mmare is available in 50 or 100 ml Eau de Parfum and in matching SPF sun products, after sun cream (and beach towels).

Now this is a great bottle!
I agree Lillyjo!
Do go look at the beach towels!
Could anyone shed light on the unusual spelling of the name?
No idea.
I’m not great at italian but I think it’s supposed to be a play on various words that sound similar:
al mare – to the sea
amare – to love sth
amaro – bitter
ammare – admire
but maybe an italian expert can enlighten us further 🙂
Here I am!
@ka_rina. your Italian is very good, where did you learn it= Just “ammare” is not an Italian word for admire, it’s “ammirare”.
Here in the commercial and where Carthusia is based, we are in the Southern Itay with different dialects, spelling, and pronunciation.
“To the sea” in Italian is (as you wrote) “al mare”, but in some regional dialects is spelt as “a’mmare”, and that’s why “amore” (love) is spelt with a double M.
The bottle is really cool. The fragrance sounds like it could be great.
It reminds me of a Jo Malone bottle. I thought it was a limited edition. Needless to say, it’s a beautiful bottle.
